Happy Monday, post-MACE!!! What a great convention - had a good time in Charlotte rubbing elbows from folks all over NC and SC, including VCs Steve Miller and Del Collins and the SCARAB crew. Lots of boons given out - you may see some of the boony love passed on to the faithful at the APL in the near future....
Big ups to Jake on getting his 2nd star! (You beat me to it by one scenario, you bastard.) Other APL folks in attendance at MACE this weekend included 7th Son, Akitayne, Jake Dodd, and Goon. We also had a few other Ashevillains (!) in play who had not been out to the APL yet.....oh, but they WILL be, they WILL be.....
Alright peeps, real life sometimes take precedence. I'm expecting a new niece/nephew in this world this week, and I'd be a crappy Uncle if I did not make it there to coo over the new foundling ASAP, so I'm backing out of my game on Saturday at APL. Yeah, I know I suck, but I'll make it up to y'all by handing out boons (DID I MENTION BOONS?!?!?!) once I return. I'm still going to be at the Deck Box tomorrow night (running the scenario that will earn me my 2nd GM star), but don't expect me around on Saturday.
Wait! There's an Asheville Pathfinder Lodge (APL) meet-up this weekend? How do I find out about the games available? Where do I sign up?
SIGN IT RIGHT UP! There you are, my penanggalens.
Ok, enough for now. More later. Rock out, peeps!

and congrats on being the first 2 star GM in the APL Jake. :)
Oh... Waite till you hear what Exalebar has done of late; dessimated cults of Lissala, slain Giant kings, made vampires pee in there pants... Don't make the lady angry, you do not want a Oracle of wrath and battle upset with you.
I'm having the most fun I've ever had role playing with this character. I know we have a wealth of characters that shine in the lodge and I can't wait to meet every one! (you can proboly tell I'm stoked after MACE!)
Thanks for all the grats on the star, woulden't have been possible without the players and other supportive GMs in the lodge. I'm going to be letting my piers catch up though, schools got me by the nads and needs all my attention lately, so GMing is going to be less common for me till summer comes around again.

Galen and Chris, I'll have you signed up on Warhorn to run QfP Part 1 and Assault on Kingdom of Impossible (respectively) in the afternoon slots on Saturday. That'll make sure we have enough low-tier slots to satiate the gang at the WT (Wyverns Tale).
RainyDay, I don't think anyone else had any Devil We Know scenarios prepped to run, but if any APL GMs would like to run it, I know you'd be appreciative. Sorry again for the last-minute bow-out.
Updating Warhorn now....

Actually, I think there are two lower tiers being added to the evening slot.
Is it? I only had 4 earlier ... woot! 5 now and running with the higher tier! Mwahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!
I hear ya on needing to level up some PCs though. I may start running one scenario and playing one lower tier to boost some PCs into potential mid range.

Just a quick re-cap of the APL Pathfinder Society (PFS) activities going on for those of y'all to read and reflect upon...
APL - Grand Lodge: Meets twice monthly on Saturdays at the Wyvern's Tale. Regularly runs between 4-8 tables of PFS play. Ran GM101 course last month. Running Blood Under Absalom (BUA) next month in celebration of first birthday, as well as six month anniversary of Wyvern's Tale. Over 50 regular attendees and 14 separate GMs.
APL - Sczarni Lodge: Meets twice monthly on Tuesdays at the Deck Box in Fletcher. 1-2 tables per session of PFS play. 6-12 gamers and 2-3 GMs.
APL - Shadow Lodge: Meets weekly on Fridays at noon at the Wyvern's Tale. 1-2 tables per session of PFS play. 2-3 GMs. Interested parties should contact Galen, BaileyOne, or 7thSon.
APL - South: Private game in Flat Rock. Runs PFS once per month (amongst other things). 6-8 players, all of which GM at some time or another.
APL - North: Private game in Weaverville. Runs PFS twice per month (correct me if I'm wrong Jake). 1-2 GMs.
APL - East: Private game in Fairview/Asheville. Runs PFS twice per month.
APL - West: In planning stages. Those interested parties should contact Goon.
APL - UNCA: On hold currently, but has held 2 gaming events this year. Those interested parties should contact AlyGlows or Sonne Silver.
APL - AB-Tech: In planning stages. Those interested parties should contact Galen.
Recent conventions: ACE and MACE. APL flashing the shirts at both.
I am so proud of this group. You guys and girls are all part of growing an amazing lodge out of NOTHING less than 12 months ago. AND. WE. KEEP. GROWING! Much love to our supportive game stores (you know who you are) and a special love letter to those supportive significant others. Y'all rock; it makes it that much sweeter to represent APL as your VC (Venture-Captain) when I travel to different lodges and conventions.
We'll be rocking the Crypt of Fools (Devil We Know, Part 3) in Fletcher at the Deck Box tonite, with another game in our back-pocket if we need to bust out another table. Come out, come out, wherever you are.
Happy Tuesday, my diminutive derro.

PS. Galen and BaileyOne, the Warhorn is updated for your games this Friday. Galen, I added Frostfur as the evening game - let me know if I need to make a correction.
PPS. You'll note that I've renamed some of the APL extension lodges after the naming conventions of the PFS. I plan to do that for any future games occurring regularly at public venues (NOT universities, private homes, etc). Galen/BaileyOne/7thSon: I gifted you guys the Shadow Lodge moniker; if you'd prefer a different Lodge name, let me know.

RainyDay, way to promote your game! The gaming store (DeWayne's World) in Kingsport, TN is worth the trip over the mountains alone (it's about 1hr from Asheville, all-told). I would love to see RainyDay get more PFS tables.
In fact, let's organize a field trip. December 1st should be a Kingsport Game Day. (RainyDay, would you check on that?) I'm officially making it a "Bring the Mountain to Mohammed" event. Let's car pool to RainyDay. Who's down with me?

Just checking in...didn't want ya'll to think I'd fallen off the face of the planet. I hate having missed so much fun, but there are only so many hours in the day. I am so excited to read about all the things going on and how large we've grown and I can't wait for the next opportunity to come down and join in the good times. Toodles

That sounds like a good idea to me! I was planning on running The Dalsine Affair that week (because I'm getting sick of them hiding behind the eidolon, and I want to kill it in the surprise round!), but if you bring enough GMs that I could play too, that could change. Let me know what you put together, and I'll talk to DeWayne about reserving an extra table.

Side topic -
I will be running my first scenario soon with an online group, and for the sake of things I'll make it Intro Steps 1 (several will be new to PFS). My noob question is regarding the final encounter.
I know I tend to be detail oriented to a fault, so apologies if this seems like it is splitting hairs.

Ok found the added games on the Warhorn and Signed up for Chris' game but I'll play in Galen's if Chris' game doesn't fill. Sadly I work on Dec 1st or I would gladly ride out with the posse. Can't wait to see you buds this week end... I'll be bringing fresh blood with me :)
Yay. Just need a couple more. Hopefully a full table will happen.

Count me as two Chris... I'm bringing a new player, hopefully... so a new level 1 and me playing one of several level 2s... we need just a couple more lucky souls to play with us. I promise to make it "interesting" for all involved :)

Currently I think I'll run the Quest for Perfection Part one to get it under my belt before Saturday, But Frostfur would be fine as well, I'm not to sure about what i want to run
I also like that we are given the Shadow Lodge designation! Does this mean that I have to hold Pathfinder Society Union, Chapter 643 meetings?
EDIT: So one person is already signed up... I'll run frostfur again. If someone could lend me a monastery flip mat for saturday that would be great
And if I have played echos of the overwatched before with another character could I play with my Inquisitor?

Once you've played a scenario, you may not get credit for it again. You may play it as many times as you want for no credit.
You may only get credit from an individual scenario once from playing a character. You can get credit a second time, if you run it as a gm. The credits would have to go to seperate characters, of course.
