Base of operation = Jazaruine?

Shackled City Adventure Path

Excuse me if I didn't spell that right. My PC's are considering using Jazaruine as their base of operation. I don't see too much of a problem with that, but would it be a good idea or might it conflict with something else in the later chapters?

Sovereign Court

Mwahaha...:
Well if they want to be sandwiched between a gateway to the Underdark and camp out in a plague-ridden abandoned gnomish stronghold under a locksmith's shoppe that's their business. Remember to make sure to have plenty of nasty things creep up from below.

Indeed. Especially when the fortress is out of commission and nothing in in the way of stopping things from lurking into Jazaruine. I was just concerned about conflicting things happening in the later chapters.

Sovereign Court

Hmmm...:
No, from what I remember it doesn't come up again at all. Just kind of sits there which is impressive for how big it is. I'm only thinking from the perspective of a player though, I could be wrong if it happens near the very end or in some minor way.

Shadow Lodge

They may encounter some conflict with the city guard and council wanting to block off the passages to avoid another Underdark incursion. In the book it is stated that the Stormblades collapse the tunnels, forcing the PCs to find another entrance in Zenith Trajectory. Depending on how secret the party kept the source of the kidnappings, this may or may not come into play.

+1.

My group was thinking of doing the same thing but those wretched stormblades collapsed the tunnels and messed up that plan. My DM showed us that it was in the book he was not just being stingy with the loot.

Damn those stormblades!

It may seem like a good idea at first but all in all it became too expensive to bother with. from what I remember the LM according to my DM was like a 5K investment that I couldn't afford.

No one else in my party was interested so we just sorta let it fade into the background.
