How much experience does a CR 27 give to players?

Hi,

I know that it's not in the core rule book, and that it may eventually be covered in the Epic Level Pathfinder book, however I'm converting some old adventures to 3.P, and this came up.

Assuming medium progression, I came to 3,280,000. I based it on the pattern that goes through the XP Chart (200, 200, 400, 400, 800, 800, etc.). Does that sound correct?

The pattern I see in the Experience Point Awards table is that the XP award at any CR is 2x the award from two CRs lower. Using that, since the XP award for CR 25 is 1,638,400 then for CR 27 it would be 3,276,800.

So, you're pretty close. (And I don't think anybody except the most hardcore ruleslawyers would object to an extra 3,200 XP at that level. 8^)

Cool, I'm pretty sure I'll use yours, looking back it makes more sense (and I had the pattern wrong)

it should take 20 CR 27 encounters to equal the XP needed for 4 characters to get from level 27 to level 28... if comparing to the medium advancement track at least - unless you want levels of that high to change the rate at which they advance.
