Things be kinda slow recently... losing Maeve was a bit of a kick in the gut, but I hope you guys are still invested. I know that Heng is hiking, and I've got a 2-week vacation coming up next week. I'd hate to shut things down that long, but we can go on break now and pick it up I get back.
That being said, I'm still willing to bring in a new 5th PC, if you guys don't think it'd be too awkward. I can recruit while we're on break, and get them in hopefully before the HoWB delve. Thoughts?

I'm in till the end. Enjoying playing this character and really like the other 3 characters/players as well. Plus, we're starting to get to the heart of the AP's plotline as well, so that's pretty exciting.
And I'm still ambivalent about a 5th character. If you think its necessary, let's do it, but just don't want to jack up the party dynamic.

GMNom- moves and breaks during the summer are to be expected. I'll certainly be ready to go when you get back! My summer break is over so no more big absences expected for me this year other than a week in Oct and the end of Dec.
I wouldn't mind an arcane caster to join the mix- I think that mysterious white haired rogue that showed up isn't likely to survive long...

Yes, Nomad should be home next weekend. He's swinging by my place Thursday on his way home to see our brand new baby who was just born yesterday! Woot!.
This campaign is doing extremely well. I think we will easily finish. I'm really excited about advancing the story, myself. I'm normally not a huge Asian themed fan, but I like the way this one is coming together.

Many traps are based on attack rolls.
True, but usually for a targeted weapon attack. This is obviously area of effect. In fact if it were truly targeted daggers, wouldn't there be an attack roll for each and only d4 damage. I'm just saying this is poorly designed. Though I love Pett's stuff, he can do things like this at times.
Also, to be fair, I was the only one who stated I was moving in. Parity specified that he was hanging back to consider and Harlan was worried about traps. Since we don't have a rogue, I'm consciously playing trap detector though I'd feel better about it if it wasn't such an obvious hose.
You're the boss, but I just thought I'd respectfully point that out.

I'll throw this out to the others-
Well, could be only the door was trapped, but i'm thinking the battle noise is BS to lure us in incautiously and there's more pain to come.
I think that a non-rogue can detect non-magical traps so if I'm taking 20 I think I should at least see them with a 36. Not much we can do about traps after that though. Looks like I just have to suck it up. We are all airwalking which should bypass floor triggers, but I'm not sure what else we can do about it. Remember the good old days of the 10 foot pole? or a good old bag of critters.
Speaking of old times, we could always test how flammable the webs are...

Man, I shoulda brought a 10 foot pole or better yet an 11 foot pole. You know, for those things you wouldnt touch with a 10 foot pole.
We are not in a terrible rush, so I'm ok with regular take 10 searches. Should eliminate some traps, although we can't really disable them.

GMNom- is the ground level of the pagoda any bigger than the square we've got mapped? how many stories high is it?

I think I've finally decided to put out a call for 1 more PC. I just sense that things have reached a comfortable quiet in the group. Maeve was a big catalyst for discussion (or conflict?) within the party. Not that I'm asking for drama, but an infusion of fresh blood might be a good thing.
