4 Player Party - no Cleric / Oracle! Paladin / Ranger / Sorcerer / Bard possible?

Carrion Crown

Hello everybody!

In our party the "healer" (Oracle of Flame) died in fighting the Splatter Man.

The Rest of the Party consists of
- Paladin
- Celestrial Sorcerer
- Detective Bard

now the former Oracle would like to play a Ranger-Archer (maybe with Animal companion).

the first Reaction was that we will miss some healing output.

We are level 4 now so the bard could take CMW. The ranger could also use a Wand as he gets the spell later on. But do you think it would work?

We are quite a newbie group so I am glad for any feedback?

I would say yes 3/4 people can cast cure spells meaning they can stock scrolls you might miss restoration but that would be about it really and with the right feats the pally can even raise dead.

Lantern Lodge

2 secondary healers, usually equals a primary healer.

If you really need a more healing focus healer, may be you can get your Paladin to take the Hospitaler Archetype?

You get the cleric's positive channel that don't cos lay-on-hands to use and a healing aura later on.

Sovereign Court

Well given that group and my opinion I'd say....

Spoiler:
It's more important how they're going to handle ability damage more then hit points it's very likely.

They should also act like they don't have a primary 'healer' about by not taking stupid risks, being cautious and thinking of alternative solutions to problems.

What do you mean with ability damage? They are going to you wand / scrolls of lessor restoration i think....
