Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

Been enjoying the read so far. I've a question or two, so let me start by saying "Here there be spoilers."

Spoiler:
PG 27 "If disturbed, the stalkers begin silently
(taking 20 for a total Stealth modifier of +34)" Am I mistaken or can they not 'take 20' for steath?

The Hazzard on page 32, does the negative energy heal Nalthezzar if he's caught in it?

Edit: FYI the text refers to 'coldfire wrappings' on pg 28, they're on page 29.

Unintentional pun on 62?

Spoiler:
"Geir, transformed into a demilich, sought out his
former ally and came to serve as head researcher"

Thank you for the kind words, Matthew! Glad to hear you're enjoying the read! I'll spoil the answers for those who haven't!

Spoiler:

Stalkers:
The +20 modifier is a byproduct of the invisible stalkers' natural invisibility ability, and I'm not sure why the "take 20" verbiage snuck in during development. But check out the Bestiary listing for the creature and you'll see that they do indeed gain a +20 to Stealth checks when moving...it isn't the same as taking 20, but the net result is the same.

Negative Energy Burst:
The necromantic energies released by the lab's destruction is plain'ol negative energy, and does indeed heal Nalthezzar! Fun! I imagine him lashing out in desperate attempts, his fate unfolding as he destroys his lab to last just a few rounds more. =-)

Be sure and let me know what you think!

And that "head" pun, while most likely unintentional, is damn funny.

Wow, just wow... Learned a new and bizarre thing from SoG today. Check out The Mellified Man legend.

Spoiler:
Brandon does the gnomish honey ping under a detect magic spell? I'm just afraid my PC's will think the other canopic jars are more monsters and smash them. This is just too freaking cool and disturbing a piece of loot to let be destroyed.

Pretty cool, eh? I thought some folks would like that one, and Rob's delicate hand when it comes to minor details like that is why he and I work so well together as designer and developer!

Spoiler:
I would have the urn detect as magic if you want to draw PCs to it. Maybe lead them to it first, before you spring the yellow mold surprise on them in the nearby urn! When they score six doses of healing, greed will cloud their vision when they go after the prayer beads! Heh. You might catch their attention by describing a bit of honey seeping out, and maybe a sweet smell. That'll pique their interest! =-)
