Spell recall cost question

Question if a magus prepares a spell in a higher level slot than the level of the spell for example shocking grasp in a second level spell slot what is the cost of using spell recall on this ability? Is it one or two points?

It would be 2 points. Since the meta spell uses a level 2 slot, it is a level 2 spell for the purpose of recalling it.

The magus happened to prepare it today in a 2nd level slot, but it doesn't require a 2nd level slot and there is no other reason it should count as such. I'd treat it as 1st level.

Since spell recall goes off the spell level, not the slot level, if the magus were to use improved spell recall, he would then be limited to another 1st level spell, even though he's prepping it in a second level slot.

Ok, so what happens if say he hasn't cast any 1st lvl spells yet, casts his meta'd spell from his second level slot, and tries to recall it? Spell recall says:

Spell Recall (Su): At 4th level, the magus learns to use
his arcane pool to recall spells he has already cast. With
a swift action he can recall any single magus spell that
he has already prepared and cast that day by expending a
number of points from his arcane pool equal to the spell’s
level (minimum 1). The spell is prepared again, just as if it
had not been cast.

So why would the meta'd spell he prepared not be meta'd anymore? he prepared it that way. ISR allows for prep'ing a different spell and adding meta to it. Nothing in the ability says it changes the original prepared spell, so if its prepared with a meta feat, it would be recalled with a meta feat.

The question is not about metamagic feats its about preparing shocking grasp in a second level spell slot and then how many points does it cost to use spell recall on it. Note the shocking grasp has not metamagic feats on it.

If you use spell recall on an intensified Shocking Grasp, you get an intensified shocking grasp. It costs 1 point because Shocking Grasp is a 1st level spell.

If you use ISR, you can prep any other 1st level spell in it's place. ISR specifically forbids adding meta. Again, this costs 1 point.

If you prep a regular Shocking Grasp in a 2nd level slot, it's still a 1st level spell so it only costs 1 point.
