I'm happy so far. The Princess Bride meets Firefly would be perfect.
I live in Bismarck so I'm CDT, but I post at most hours.
I'm in the eastern time zone of the US, but work as been hairy the last couple days, so my posts have unfortunately been few and far between. I usually post most of teh day at work.
omg Grutsnick, you just made me think of what an awesome episode it would have to been to have Cary Elwes from about 20years ago playing a rival captain to Mal. And Mandy Patinkin could have served on his ship with him. :)

In regards to current events in-game:

I'm kind of dying to see Lorelei's reaction to this. (The Captain better start sleeping with one eye open).
It'll be interesting to see if the Captain can keep from killing Uraisa before the voyage is over. Even if she doesn't really understand all of teh violence involved in being a pirate yet, she is very loyal to her friends. I can't wait to see the Captain's reaction.
Heh, Lorelei is very self-aware of her actions. She knows how she acts but can't really help it. She never got enough attention as a child and now resorts to getting any kind of attention she can to make up for it. If she got enough positive attention she'd most likely stop her negative behaviors. I like having characters that have room for positive growth. You should have seen some of my LARP characters. :)
Oh, and I am keeping a list of everyone who will eventually get a badger in their bunk. I am a bit vindictive. ;)

Get a riding lawnmower and watch out for badgers hiding in the tall grass. I'm off to clean out the fridge and figure out what to make for dinner.
I have a rider, used to take 10 hours with a push mower. :P
And there's a badger hole near my house but (s)he has moved on.
You could rent/buy some goats and let them eat your grass down?
