A little thought came to me, what would it take for a person who doesn't normally pick up and support 3PP to actually check one out? Does it have to be free? Is it the writer? Is it the topic? Or have you just said it has to be Paizo or nothing? Just curious about what the answer would be.
I'm trying to get my group to embrace it by doing the gateway drug approach. I picked up a copy of the Adventurer's Handbook from SGG, and bring it to my group's sessions. I also heavily stress the fact that Owen has done a lot of work for Paizo.
My idea is that if they start to accept that, they'll be more receptive of other 3rd party stuff.
P.S.: Owen, if you want to use "The Adventurer's Handbook is a gateway drug to great 3rd party content!" for advertising, go ahead.

Adventures: They have the much-loved AP, modules, and PFS offerings. Seems like directly competing with Paizo in this regard could be tricky. Are there 3rd party adventures out there that are doing well?
Well, you'll notice I did some pimping for Frog God Games a few posts back. They are, thus far, almost exclusively adventures (with the sole exception of the Swords & Wizardry Complete Rulebook). In fact, if I had to choose between Paizo and Frog God in terms of adventures, I'd probably go with Frog God. Fortunately for Paizo, I don't have to choose.

You mean there are still a few people that DON'T have a subscription to Kobold Quarterly??? REALLY???
