Lining up ducks as we speak. They're almost all in a row at this point, but some of them wandered off after PaizoCon 2011 and we've got to track them down.
Mallard ducks? Wood ducks? Mottled ducks? Mandarin ducks? Peking duck (nom nom nom)? Rubber ducks (they're the ones that make bath time so much fun)?

Let me guess....
Monday, Monday
So good to me.
Monday, Monday
It was all I hoped it would be.
Oh Monday morning
Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening
You would still be here with me.
Monday, Monday
Can't trust that day.
Monday, Monday
Sometimes it just turns out that way.
On Monday morning
You gave me no warning
Of what was to be.
On Monday, Monday
How could you leave
And not take me?
Every other day
Every other day
Every other day
Of the week is fine, yeah.
But whenever Monday comes
But whenever Monday comes
You can find me crying
All of the time.
Monday, Monday
So good to me.
Monday, Monday
It was all I hoped it would be.

Monday, Monday,
Can't trust that day.
Monday, Monday,
Just turns out that way.
Oh, Monday, Monday,
Don't go away.
Oh, Monday, Monday
It's here to stay
Monday, Monday
Oh, don't go away

Tomorrow will take us away
Far from home
No one will ever know our names
But the bards' songs will remain
Tomorrow all will be known
And you're not alone
So don't be afraid
In the dark and cold
'Cause the bards' songs will remain
Wait ... are you saying there will be a musical announcement tomorrow? Kinda like a cross between a formal press release and Dr. Horrible? I like it!!!

I was looking forward to a sing along blog ... :(
Not that it slowed me down in picking up my ticket to the Con and Banquet, but a sing along blog would have been sweeeeet!

Actually Justin, everything is in place and heading as planned. The Anthology will be the best thing I have ever worked on and the beer will be better than ever.
If you must know, Robert Gresham is taking over Pathfinder Chronicler and the hotel won't let me serve my beer in conference rooms.
The size of their rooms are very small for entertaining so I have to get a 500 dollar room for one night to throw my traditional beer party (which I will be doing).
These expenses are truly out of control though and out of my hands. So, hat in hand I consider 2013 to be a much tamer affair. I would like to go to GenCon one of these days.

Cool cool, maybe I'll finally stop by for a little brew this year. :D

I totally understand about the expenses Zuxius.
To be honest when I heard about the venue change I feared something like this would happen. I know there were quite a few people who rented the suites at the other hotel.
Realizing this I started doing some researching. The Marriott has a sister property right next door, The Residence Inn. I don't know how this will work with the whole room party thing. Another con goer who hosts a game is in the same situation. He doesn't want to incur the expense of renting (I think) the equivalent of a suite from the former hotel and possibly running into noise problems. He would like to see if we can get a "block" of rooms there too. I really hope this happens as I think it would solve a lot of people's problems.
I hope this gets some attention and gets resolved.

So...uh...did PaizoCon 2012 just become a video gaming convention? 'Cause I don't really want to go if all they talk about is PFO. I trust that won't be the case, but I'm just throwing it out there that I would be sorely disappointed.
On a separate topic - I've never been to any gaming con before. Who can give me some advice on how to maximize my experience?

Not at all. I plan to schedule 25-30 PFS games per slot. I also am planning a surprise for PFS players.
SWEET! That does raise another question for me though...if I don't play PFS, will there be plenty of non-PFS play going on, too? I'm still trying to figure out what to expect from my first con.

Keep your eyes out for both the official lottery listings as well as posts for unofficial games. There tends to be a good amount of variety between the two.
There have been d20 Modern variants, d20 Future (ala Terminator), PF as well as PFS games, SW Saga, CoC (Call of Cthulhu, not Corrosion of Conformity ;), various non-roleplaying games, etc.
You should have plenty of options, but it is really dependent on people volunteering to run stuff (both officially and unofficially). So if you have the ability to run a game, keep your eyes out for the volunteer threads as well.

I went last year without ever having played PFS and I avoided the PFS aread; I really felt like I missed out. There was a lot of gaming goodness to be had yet I felt that the real meat and potatoes was PFS. I got into PFS since then and look forward to playing PFS at the con. I recommend you play PFS at the con, it is easy to get into and you will not regret it.

Thanks, Brian and zylphryx! So, could I join PFS there and then jump into some games or would I need to be signed up already in order to sign up for the games?
You can absolutely sign up there if you wish -- any time someone's offering Pathfinder Society games, you can sign up.
(If you sign up today, instead of next July, you can play lots of PFS games between now and then locally, too.)

You can register and make a character right now if you like. If you go to the Paizo Pathfinder society Page you can register, get a number, download the guide, make a character, and look for events nearby before Paizocon; or you can go to any Psociety event and get a membership number there, play a pregenerated character (or make one if you have time) and register the number on the web site later.
When I first got into Pathfinder society I was real intimidated by it and thought it would be real hard to get into, but once I found a pathfinder society event I discovered it is real simple and fun to be part of.

NOOOOO!!!!!!!
KHAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNN!!!!!!
Zuxius, that sucks man. I was looking forward to sampling your wares at Paizocon a final time. <sigh>
Perhaps there will be a change in the winds of Fate and it will all come together ... one can hope, after all, one can hope.

That would be fun, but my group is in a campaign so no time to go to my FLGS to play. If I registered a character and then showed up at PaizoCon without ever having played him, would I be way behind and out of the loop?

You wouldn't be behind except that you would only be able to play him in Tier 1-2 adventures. Anything else would require you playing a pre-gen.
