What changes if one changes Monk to the following:
HD: d10
BaB: +1/Level.
Remove: Maneuver Training
Change: Flurry of Blows - The monk is treated as having 2 weapon fighting when fighting unarmed or with a monk weapon.
Does this tip the monk too far the other way?
For the record: I think the monk works fine as is, I've played one, my players have played monks, and we all have had fun with the class. A friend of mine is building a half-orc luchador for a campaign using the monk.
I'm just curious if this simplification of the class would be easier to play (I have a player who keeps getting confused by the math).

If I were to fix the Monk class, I would go about shifting its class features so that it can focus solely on Wis- much like how Paladin can now drop Wis in favour of higher Cha. Say, "spend a Ki point, replace Wis for unarmed/monk weapon attack and damage rolls for 1 minute" or something like that.
Monk already acts as though it had a full BAB progression for the purpose of using Flurry of Blows and combine that with Maneuver Training, I don't think there's a real need for a better BAB progression with PF monk.

Not to dispute the claim, but a lot of Monk builds seem to suggest grabbing Vital Strike ASAP. Actually having a higher BAB would let them do this earlier.
Of course, I've never played a Monk, just looked at builds, so I guess I don't know sh*t first hand :D
