Is Jason actually answering any rules questions yet?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I am interested to know why certain changes were made. I realise that others on the board can speculate on the reason but only the game designers can answer the questions as to why a particular decision was made.

Why for example paladins smite was changed to the way it is.

Why lay on hands is like it is.

Why spiked chains no longer have reach.

Why dwarves can roll to spot secret doors (in stone) when they walk past them but elves dont have this listed in their racial ability any more.

Why bards inspire courage got turned into a competence bonus.

Why clerical domains got powers & spells, and why say Travel which had great spells got great powers as well.

I am partly interested in how the rules work but mostly why they work the way they do. Are answers being given by the game designers yet?

Yes Jason's been on quite a few threads. Generally being demanding isn't the best way to get friendly answers.

My recommendation, click on his username and then view recent posts. That'll keep you up to speed on what he's answered.

didnt mean to be demanding, just asking out of interest- I had been keeping an eye out but hadn't seen anything except for the blog.

Thanks I have done that now & see where he has been.

I feel a bit goofy for not doing this earlier- sorry.
