Grand Melee?

PaizoCon General Discussion

Grand Lodge

Pardon me if this is either clearly stated somewhere or something we're just not supposed to know til we get there--but what exactly IS the Grand Melee? Is there actually a scenario/plot? Never done it before so am curious.

Any GM's out there get a copy of this yesterday?

This is still being written and developed and the statblocks (which is all this consists of) will be sent to GMs early next week.

Any GMs out there get a copy of anything yesterday? I got the mail telling me to expect the scenario, but nothing else. Were the scenarios delayed, or did I get missed?

I received mine, but I received the email for one an hour or two before it was actually in my downloads. I emailed, and it was fixed pretty quickly after that.

I haven't even gotten the email about it, so I got nothin!

We got our scenarios here - one was a .doc first, then the PDF came.

We aim to have the statblocks for the Grand Melee to GMs tomorrow evening so you have time to look them over on your trip to Seattle and prep any minis you might need.

There will be no maps to draw or story to remember, so as long as you have a chance to see the monsters you'll be running, you should be fine.

So here's how the I imagine event works..

You go play at a table. If you survive, you move on to Doug's table. If some how Massacre Miles doesn't finish you off, you make it to my table, where you'd undoubtedly be decapitated.

Sound close, Mark?

You are only "a table." ;-)

Still at the office working hard on these? Could you at least send out a list of monsters/names/classes/etc?

This is the only thing left for me to prep before my flight tomorrow

Yes, a few cogs are still stuck in the works, but I'll have a list of creatures out to all GMs this afternoon as well as the work in progress document. When it's done, I'll not only email it to all GMs, but print copies here in the office so anyone who can't get it printed before the show has a copy.

Kyle, are you out of Spokane? I have a friend with the same name

All GMs for this event should have received a word document from me of the grand melee in its current state. If you did not, please contact me at mark.moreland@paizo.com. I will send the final document to the same distribution list.

I'm in suburban Detroit.

All Grand Melee GMs (GMGMs, as I've started calling them in my pre-con delirium) should have received the final pdf in your email tonight around 1 am Seattle time. If you don't see it there, please email me or post here and I'll try resending it in the morning.

Those suburban Detroit DM's were killer DM's and horrible!!! I want a full refund!
