Are you guys familiar with WorldWorksGames? If you're not, and you're reading the Carrion Crown forum, you'd probably want to jump right to their horror stuff.
Seems like some pretty nice stuff there. We've used a few of their dungeon pieces before and they are beautiful works. You buy the digital rights and then print them out on thick paper. Fit together great.
Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone sees any inspiration in their pages for specific scenes from Carrion Crown. My players offered to buy some of these pieces in appreciation for the hard DMing work.
So, which might be best? Which fit well in the theme?

Honestly, I have always thought those were a little epic looking for lower level play. They don't seem to have the raw grittiness that I like to present in my games. In my opinion as a final encounter or extraplanar stronghold they work well, but as a dilapitated haunted prison.... not so much.
Best to leave it to verbal description and imagination. That is where true horror comes from anyway: less is more.

I am putting together the bits to make Harrowstone, The Restlands cemetary and some interiors for Lorrimor's house and the town hall.
I have a number of their sets, and I'm going to have to mix and match pieces to get the right style. The terrainlinx items, in particular, mix and match extremely well as they are all uniform sizes and shapes.
Have you already finished Harrowstone? At what point in the AP do you hope to have the terrain ready?

I am mainly looking for inspiration so please post detailed ideas if you have them. Also I'd love to see photos (like with an actual camera!) of anything you craft.
The only "problem" I've had with their work is that the walls are relatively high and it makes it hard to see into the hallway and see your character unless you are standing up, sort of over the piece. I'm not sure if I'd suggest they make them shorter, but it becomes a bit of a problem in hallway encounters.

OK, this is my very first post on any messageboard, so here goes nothing...
I use Worldworks and other cardstock models extensively. I have kitbashed a lot of their textures and created my own system of tiles and walls. I built the Ravengro town hall from Shellendrak Manor pices, the Lorrimar houshold from Taverns interiors and Harrowstone from a combination of Castle Interiors walls, Gothic Realms walls, and a variety of other pieces. I built the central square area of Ravengro with a lot of buildings from Dave Graffam Games as well as some old D&D paper models.
Having the higher walls lends to a clausterphobic feeling in the prison.
Anyway, buying a bunch of the Worldworks sets is worth every penny. Especially if you have a little artistic skill and a half decent desktop publishing program. Heck, I just use Microsoft Publisher and my end results have been fantastic.
I would post a couple pictures but I have no idea how to do that in these messageboards.
Cheers!

Welcome to the boards. :)
Unfortunately there is no way (that I know of) to upload images. You'll need to use something like Photobucket (or whatever the modern equivalent is). I'd love to see your work, though! :)
