Feat Help for a fighter

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I have two feats to choose for my 8 fighter 2 Ranger

1) My Dm allows non-pathfinder D20 feats
2) I use a flail

I already have: weapon focus, weapon specialization, improved trip, melee weapon mastery

These are the pairs I'm considering

a) Combat reflexes, greater trip

b) power attack, brutal strike

c) scent (for awesome), combat reflexes

I can't decide!
Gimme a hand please. All advice and criticism is welcome.

Disarming isn't a bad idea, though trip is definitely better. If you think your AC could use a boost Shield of Swings is sweet as hell.

How about Combat Expertise so that you qualify for Improved Trip to begin with. If you have multiple melee characters in the party, Greater Trip is great, otherwise not so much. Also going for Greater Weapon Focus so that you will qualify for Greater Weapon Specialization, if you continue to advance in Fighter anyways.

Forgot to mention that I already have combat expertise.

If you are focusing on flail I would go combat maneuvers definitely, make sue of what the flail does, tripping and disarming.

Oh and combat reflexes, then get the team work feat paired opportunist... take advantage of greater trip.

Pendagast is right. combat reflexes is very good if you have some dex (at least dex 12).

I rather take "Step up" or "Iron Will" than greater trip. If you still like to trip enemies you could take greater trip later. Problem with trip is that at really high levels you won't be able to use it that much. Even worse with disarm.
I would stay away from disarm. With a flail you can still disarm archers and thouse that use wands.
Regardless if you go the disarm route you can't disarm creatures using natural weapons or spells.

Trip is more fun.

Don't forget to take Iron Will :-)

Edit:
Where did you find the feats brutal strike and scent?

I find team work feats to be useless, as I won't have a party member that will take them as well.

Combat Reflexes, Lunge.

Don't like them either.

Brutal Strike is here http://dnd.savannahsoft.eu/feat-277-brutal-strike.html

Scent is here http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/keen-scent

I already have Iron Will, but didn't mention it at the top

OK. Post your stats and your level.

How many fighter levels and how many ranger levels?
Do you play a core ranger? If not, which archetype?
I guess you are using the new Two-Handed Weapon combat style for rangers.
Which combat style feat did you pick? Power attack?
I suggest you use a heavy flail. You don't need a shield.
Can you like the feat melee weapon mastery?
Do you use traits?
If yes, how many, 2?
Will you plan using potions of enlarge person?
Notice Lunge only last during your turn, so Combat Reflexes is of no use if you plane to get AoO using Lunge. I would stay away from lunge.
I would also stay away from Brutal Strike.

2 levels Ranger 8 levels fighter

I went with the core ranger
st: 18 con: 18 dex: 17 int:14 wis: 13 cha: 11
Gotta keep the shield!
http://dnd.savannahsoft.eu/feat-1917-melee-weapon-mastery.html
I have two traits that were chosen by the DM
not many potions to be had

You don't like brutal strike? Once per round if I hit the enemy it has to make a for save dc 16, at 12th lvl it will be a dc 19 save.
