Would you allow Aasimar as a PC in this AP? And if so, which level adjustment?

I'm not certain why everyone keeps attributing things to daylight that it does not actually do. Despite the name daylight does not actually create 'daylight' for the purposes of destroying Vampires or rendering Wraith's powerless. You need the much more powerful spell sunburst to do that. All daylight does is create an area of 'bright light.' This temporarily blinds and dazzles creatures with Light Blindness such as Drow. Arguably its ability to dispel darkness is more valuable, but rather irrelevant to Aasimars, who have darkvision.

A good argument could be made that daylight, as a third level spell should have some more concrete effects, such as some minor damage to undead or something. In generally its pretty underwhelming, but check out the spell as written. I doesn't do all the things many players think it does.

Darn I was ninja'd.

I was boggling at all of these attributes to daylight myself.

You may want them to consider a changeling as well, similiar bonus to Aasimar but more flavor imho.

why must we overinflate the value of an Aasimaars abilities?

the only reason i see for this XP debt being proposed is that they are 'not core'. there are far more powerful races out there, but we don't bother to tax them because they are a 'core race'.

who is the best race of all:

humans, thier completely customizable racial ability package is highly abusable once you have enough system mastery. they also get more and better support than any other race, even the other core ones. and they have the most mutable fluff.

the bestiary races can never hope to have the level of support that a human will.

i played an aasimaar channel focused cleric before, sarenrae was her goddess and she had the healing and sun domains. she carried a sabre (homebrew martial weapon) and had the outsider proficiencies, she was played in an undead themed campaign. she could devastate undead, but could do little against the living. the party complained about the wasted healing. later, weekly william had to fudge the channel rules to calm the party.

and there is more to carrion crown's bestiary than just the undead.
