Is there an option to subscribe monthly to the PDF's only? As someone who owns a ton of gaming material and is looking into some type of tablet in the future, I can't help but wonder if PDF is my future for gaming and if Paizo will be providing support on that on an ongoing basis or if I'm doomed to carry around the corpses of trees upon my back.

The short answer is: Offering a PDF-only subscription carries too much risk of being catastrophic to our core business model. Erik's answer, here, from a couple of years ago still holds true: It is far too likely that, for every new subscription we get from this, two or more people who are currently subscribed to the print subscription would switch convert to the PDF one. This would cripple us, and Paizo most likely could not continue as we do now. I know this sounds pretty dire as far as predictions go, but every indication that we've seen when we've explored this option seems to point to this.
This is not to say that it an option that we are entirely opposed to, but rather that it does not seem like a viable choice at this time. We have revisited, and will continue to revisit this option.
