Deflect Arrows:
You must have at least one hand free (holding nothing) to use this feat. Once per round when you would normally be hit with an attack from a ranged weapon, you may deflect it so that you take no damage from it.
Snatch Arrows:
When using the Def lect Arrows feat you may choose to catch the weapon instead of just deflecting it. Thrown weapons can immediately be thrown back as an attack against the original attacker (even though it isn't your turn) or kept for later use.
Throw Anything:
You are used to throwing things you have on hand. Benefit: You do not suffer any penalties for using an improvised ranged weapon. You receive a +1 circumstance bonus on attack rolls made with thrown splash weapons.
Monk catch bullets, throw them back?

I think this has been mentioned before, and its been decided (afaik) that the Deflect Arrows feat will be useless vs guns.
Because you know, we can have demon lords hacking at us with swords bigger than we are and survive or we can alter reality in six seconds, but the moment a gun enters the picture everyone suddenly forgets its a fantasy world and tells us bullets are undeflectable.
I believe Stephen weighed in on deflect arrows sometime in Round One. Can anyone confirm or clarify?

By RAW
yes you could deflect with the first feat...
Deflect Arrows (Combat)
You can knock arrows and other projectiles off course, preventing them from hitting you.
Prerequisites: Dex 13, Improved Unarmed Strike.
Benefit: You must have at least one hand free (holding nothing) to use this feat. Once per round when you would normally be hit with an attack from a ranged weapon, you may deflect it so that you take no damage from it. You must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed. Attempting to deflect a ranged attack doesn't count as an action. Unusually massive ranged weapons (such as boulders or ballista bolts) and ranged attacks generated by natural attacks or spell effects can't be deflected.
No you can not catch as the feat specifies thrown weapons.....
Snatch Arrows (Combat)
Instead of knocking an arrow or ranged attack aside, you can catch it in mid-flight.
Prerequisites: Dex 15, Deflect Arrows, Improved Unarmed Strike.
Benefit: When using the Deflect Arrows feat you may choose to catch the weapon instead of just deflecting it. Thrown weapons can immediately be thrown back as an attack against the original attacker (even though it isn't your turn) or kept for later use.
You must have at least one hand free (holding nothing) to use this feat.

To determine the size category and appropriate damage for an improvised weapon, compare its relative size and damage potential to the weapon list to find a reasonable match. An improvised weapon scores a threat on a natural roll of 20 and deals double damage on a critical hit. An improvised thrown weapon has a range increment of 10 feet.
Hmm.. Sling Bullets seem to be about the right size and shape.
Well, kinda - they may be a little large.
Still, 1d4dmg + misc extra a round?
I wouldn't use three feats for it but hey, if it's not the only reason you're taking them...
::
I guess we could argue that a bullet does X, discounting that it does X when fired from a gun
..but yeah, seems the feat requires some common sense.
Personally, I'd go with sling bullet/sling damage.
::
OT: Seemingly, with those three feats, yes you could throw back a bullet that you've snatched. Hell, for three feats I'd let you do it regardless if it's a strict RAW violation.

At almost no damage. I would say less than a sling stone much less than shuriken. Plus bullets are very tiny ever try to get a decent range out of a ball bearing?
The object here is less to actually hurt them, than to annoy the Gunslinger.
"That's right. I can catch your bullets, and thrown them back at you. Granted, it won't hurt too bad, but it didn't hurt me at all. How does that feel?"

THEN THEY SHOOT YOU TWICE O_O!
:)
No wait, they take Blinding Critical, score a crit, confirm the crit, blind you THEN THEY SHOOT YOU TWICE!
:D

You have two free hands no? So at the level that you are able to get Blinding Critical, 2/3 attacks will not hurt a monk with two free hands. And are all 3 going to hit, most likely not.
With Rapid Shot you could pump out 4, and most likely, 1 would hit. So if you crit me, I'd be blind, otherwise, I just took some damage, but blocked at least half of it...

Maaaaybe.
Maybe not.
I believe the object here is to annoy one of two parties!
Which may or may not happen.
O-o Might be an giant undead gunslinger and an robot octopus monk!
::
Hopefully the gunslinger will realise that they choose to let things annoy them - they cannot be made annoyed! :)
O_O GUNS!

Monks are not fun targets for gunslingers anyway they are very dodgy hard to hit and can deflect missiles. lol

What happens when a Gunslinger fires a Flare or Entangling Shot at the Monk? Does the Monk still go blind if he grabs a white hot flare?
I'd say no to the entangling shot, but I'm not sure about the flare. Reduce to dazzled, and no effect against those nearby?
Its an interesting point.

He's refering to Deflect AND Snatch Arrow feats. So one is snatched (and returned with interest) the other is just deflected.
Note that in the Faction Guide is a feat Ki Diversity that allows to spend ki points for additional uses of deflect/snatch arrow.

Mr Jade |

Just as trollish as the first combo, a 3rd Level Human/Elf/Half-Orc/-Elf monk with the Run feat and the Fleet feat can go from outside a musket's max range (200 feet on the musket) to in your face, in one turn.
Our monk's base speed would be 30+5+10=45. 45*5=225. He can go from 225 feet away from a Gunslinger, to his in face.

This doesn't work. The Snatch Arrow feat is an extra ability you can use when you successfully use the Deflect Arrow feat. It doesn't give you the ability to respond to a second arrow.
