Scenario with undeads

GM Discussion

Liberty's Edge

Hello, everyone!

I want to know which of the actual scenarios have undeads involved. I love undeads (I can't wait for Carrion Crown) and I want to be GM of all of scenarios involving undeads. If the undead involved is the final boss, the better.

Shadow Lodge 5/5

There are plenty of one-off undead encounters and "main boss" encounters involving undead, but off the top of my head, the following modules directly involve undead as a major component of the adventures (as opposed to one-off bad-guys):

Spoiler:

#1: The Silent Tide
#6: Black Waters
#7: Among the Living (probably the module I'd suggest first)
#24: Decline of Glory
#49: Among the Dead

I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones I can think of immediately.

Thanks a lot, MisterSlanky!

Anyone has more scenarios to add to this list?

Hydra's Fang comes to mind.

Also a surprisingly large number of season 0 mods feature an encounter with 3 ghouls.

Hydra's fang was on my list but I dropped it because while it does have an undead encounter, that is not the focus of the entire module. It's a fun adventure though, one of the best Season 0's.

Thanks! Anymore?

Please move this thread to the GM forum and apply a spoiler tag to the title. *flagged*

I can't wait for someone to build an undead killing Ranger/Paladin/Inquisitor/Cleric and only play the mods listed here.

Ravenath, I would venture a guess that around 70% of the tier 1-5 or 1-7 scenarios have undead in them.

It can't be a Paizo scenario without Undead, Swarms, Darkness, and little pink bunnies.

And three ghouls. Every module needs three ghouls.

Liberty's Edge

I'm glad to ear that. I love undeads.

Pallid Plague has some undead and it's written by a real superstar!

Neil wrote it right?... ;)

Grand Lodge 3/5

Nope. Not me.

..... oh... you mean DarkSide Neil.

As far as the proliferation of undead - it was always a rule for designers in previous editions to include undead in most adventures, because it was the one thing clerics could contribute effectively to the offence against.

Liberty's Edge

Interesting observation, Neil.
And thanks for all the titles.

I loved The Pallid Plague but I guess I didn't consider it very undead-centric. Yeah there are some neat undead encounters, but the focus of that module is a bit more well, weird.

I should have put my glasses on before reading this. Wow.
