I'm back from my hiatus and diving into another conversion project. Unfortunately, due to some real life Late Unpleasantness, my Rise of the Runelords and Curse of the Crimson Throne conversions are very much on hold. I fully plan on returning to them and completing them when I feel comfortable doing so, but I will not have the luxury of making use of my old playtest groups.
With that out of the way, over the past months I've done a lot of thinking about how I want to present my conversion material, both in terms of format and delivery method. In the past couple of days I have put together a new website where I can consolidate everything to:
I also have a new gaming group and a new campaign to run (and convert); starting in two weeks, I'll be kicking off a Legacy of Fire campaign, and giving it the full conversion treatment.
When it comes to how I want to present the finished conversion material, however, I'm still very much undecided. I certainly want to provide some kind of easy DM reference document, whether as a PDF, website, or in some other form. I'm also mulling over the idea of assembling and packaging the converted adventures as ready-to-play modules on WotC's virtual tabletop (this would be an additional format, not a replacement), including tile-based encounter maps, monster tokens/stat blocks, and so forth. The extent of what this will include will depend largely upon what the tabletop can do.
I've tossed a handful of articles up on the project site to get things rolling, and I'd love to get any input on how to proceed.
Cheers!

Channel Divinity: Feat Power
Light of Sarenrae

Phil Snyder put together a package of Channel Divinity powers for the Golarion deities a couple years back, and I've retooled them over time (with his permission), so I'm good on CD feats (and domains, too). If you come across any encounter conversions, though (or new monster stat blocks) I'd love to take a look at those too.

Rad, thanks. I'll check these against the Compendium's monsters. If I decide to use them as-is or retool them for the final conversion, might I have your permission to include them (with credit, of course)?

Was the Firebird your answer to the geier in the original adventure? I couldn't find an existing analogue for it myself, and a phoenix-like monster does strike me as a good way to keep the egg-protective mother trope in place while making the encounter an appropriately challenging fight for the party.

It was in my notes for Kelmerane, so I don't think so. It may have been a sidequest for my players. They needed to gather components for a ritual to reconsecrate the monastery to Sarenrae. The entire party had her as their patron goddess.
My notes for the monastery were hand written and are in a spiral notebook at home. I'm away on business this week, but I'll see if I can dig them up when I get back.
Edit: Not that you couldn't put it in the monastery if you wanted.

Hmm, there's a silk wyrm solo monster in the Dark Sun books that seems like it could be a suitable substitute for the geier as well, along with some minion hatchlings.

Welcome back Scott,
I'll be following your work with interest as Legacy of Fire is definitely one of the APs I'm really keen on running for my 4E group one day.
Our group isn't progressing very fast through RotRL (it's taken just under 2 years to get to the start of HMM), so it may take us a while to get to it tho...

Quick update before I head to bed.
Ran the first session of the campaign today and had a fantastic time. All the players are very enthusiastic and I feel like the group has some excellent chemistry. The adventure went smoothly, plenty of areas in the conversion to highlight or rework. We're halfway through the monastery, and we'll finish it up next weekend. I'll update The First Vault at some point during the week with a more in-depth look.

I don't know how far you are, but they just updated the Howl of the Carrion Crown Paper Minis to include absolutely everything you need to run the first book. It is well worth the investment. Especially if you have access to a nice color laser printer somewhere.

All that I have left to run through is the Battle Market and Undercrypt. I've been trying out the tokens from the Monster Vault and Dungeon Master's Kit, and they've been working out very well so far. I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of them at this stage in the game. Thanks for pointing it out, though.

Hi Scott,
A shame that your conversions are put on hold! My group really enjoys them so far, we're just starting to end the Skinsaw Murders module.
I was wondering if you would be able to fix the links to the rest of the files you have on your rusty dragon website?
We would really like to continue on with this story, and add new ones to the adventure(s).
Thanks for all your hardwork, really looking forward to these!
I would have tried to PM, but I could not find that feature.
My email is maaksel@gmail.com if you would be so kind as to contact me =)
Thanks!
