In 2nd Ed the Ravenloft Campaign Setting had Fear, Horror and Madness checks.
In 3.5 there were Fear, Horror and Madness Will saves.
While I am all in favour of players' roleplaying and having their pcs act disturbed or outright fleeing a horrific scene or an encounter with the macabre, will the Carrion Crown AP have an optional mechanic for this in similar viein to Chase or Haunt rules?
Or, being a Pathfinder AP, do the pcs get to be 'heroic' in every sense of the word and thus not succumb to what would make lesser men cower with dread?

Looking forward to the Cthulhu mechanics but the APG (or is it the DM book?) also has some base rules on Sanity etc.
The GameMastery Guide has a simple system for sanity and madness.
