Recommend to me my next three purchases!

Silver Crusade

I was just wondering what people would think are the top three purchases one could make from the pathfinder line of products.

I all ready own the core book, advanced players guide, bestiary 1 and 2, game mastery guide, pathfinder chronicles: seekers of secrets, pathfinder companion: adventurers armory, pathfinder companion: inner sea primer.

What would you all recommend for my next three purchases?

Or what would you consider three purchases that are must haves?

Dark Archive

The Faction Guide, the Inner Sea World Guide, and Ultimate Magic.

Just because the last two aren't out yet doesn't mean they shouldn't be the next two. IMO unless you have a great group to run the AP's with on a REGULAR basis they they aren't really worth it to purchase for yourself, plus the fact that you could be spoilering yourself.

I'd take the Inner Sea World Guide, The Great Beyond and Gods and Magic.

At that point you can decide where and what to run/play, and from that point pick books relevant to the game you are running/playing.

Liberty's Edge

Suggesting you pre-order the upcoming hardcovers is a bit of a no-brainer, so I'm not going there.

Instead, I'll suggest Pathfinder adventure material:

1. Council of Thieves Vol II: The Six-Fold Trial by Richard Pett.

The best issue of Pathfinder released so far.

2. Kingmaker Vol 1: Stolen Land by Tim Hitchcock

It's Ennie Award winning for a reason. Buy this module. The End.

3. Carrion Crown Vol 1: The Haunting of Harrowstone by Michael Kortes

Because... I got a feeling :)

Does Paizo sell snowmobiles? because you should definitely get a 2011 Polaris RMK-PRO.

After that the other two purchases don't really matter.

But I'd get the critical hit deck and the critical fumble deck. Loads of fun added to any game.

Silver Crusade

Come on every one, I need more suggestions!

Also a question, I was curious what every one thinks about players reading source material that is usually reserved for the DM, namely the Pathfinder Chronicles line.

If you know you are not going to run into guns or ninjas then you don't need the Ultimate Combat guide. But if you are going from module to module or might send the party into The Cleaves on a whim, yes, you need that book.

Aside from the aforementioned Inner Sea World Guide, I would recommend:
The Great Beyond: Details the planar structure and its inhabitants.
NPC Guide: Many fascinating characters to use on the fly, plus characters from the Paizo staff.
Faction Guide: Gives a nice "big picture" look at some organizations from the Inner Sea region of Golarion.

You are grossly underestimating how much content that is going to be in UC. If you seriously think the classes being PT'd right now will take up more than maybe 1/5 of the word count then you are sorely mistaken.

Shadow Lodge

Swords & Wizardry: Complete Rulebook
Tome of Horrors: Complete (S&W version)
Monster Book (S&W)

I think the OP is asking for Pathfinder line of books ;)

Silver Crusade

Indeed I am.

Also a question, what is the difference between the source books that are categorized as (3.5) and the ones categorized as (PFRPG)?

Do the ones labeled (3.5) need any sort of conversion?

The ones labeled 3.5 were made under the 3.5 ruleset. Since Paizo was up in the air as to choice of system in the early years, the books tend to be crunch-light. They may have a feat or two (which don't really need any conversion) or an odd monster (which either were already updated or will be so in near future).

So as far as Chronicles and Companions go, the conversion work is minimal.

All I know about that book is what I have read on these boards.

What else is going to be in it?

Reading the product description page may be a good idea here.

You need:

1) Dice

2) Pencils

3) Gm screen.

Scarab Sages

I can recommend:

- GameMastery Plot Twist Cards: my players are really enjoying them

- GameMastery Combat Pad: I was hesitant to buy this until a friend lent me his for a game and it turned out to be really handy so I eventually got my own.

- Gods & Magic

For future products, I'm planning to buy Ultimate Magic and the GameMastery Chase Cards.

Some other stuff I bought and can recommend, but perhaps as optional buys depending on what you're running, are:

- Advanced Options: Oracle's Curses (Super Genius Games)

- Advanced Options: Witches' Hexes (Super Genius Games)

- Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Lost Cities of Golarion (the city of Storasta is very cool, almost a mini-campaign in itself)

- Pathfinder Chronicles: Heart of the Jungle

Yeah, you need that book. I was going to buy it anyway.

I'll try to find the Ultimate Magic one, but that is probably a must too.

Yes, we both need that.

Two of my favorites:
NPC Guide
Gamemastery Guide

And the soon-to-be-released:
Ultimate Magic

Liberty's Edge

are you running a campaign in Glorian?

Anyways..Ultimate Magic, the folio map for Glorian, the Absalom book and Gods and Magic.
