In Scint's Banned News...
Woman flew from Italy to Chicago O'Hare. Took Amtrak from Chicago to St. Louis, with all the stops in Illinois along I-55. She has coronavirus. And now she's broken quarantine in St. Louis.

I need to clarify this. More information.
Woman flew from Italy to Chicago O'Hare. Took Amtrak from Chicago to St. Louis, with all the stops in Illinois along I-55. She has coronavirus. Her family was quarantined with her since she had apparently already exposed them. Her father and sister then broke quarantine by going to a father-daughter school dance.

TL. Yes. That's my initial tendency, but Shiro (with whom I frequently talk GMing) wants me to run it as-is and risk the TPK just because he really likes "challenges". I think two of the players would be fine, and the other two would be upset that I just upped and killed them for sleeping in the wrong place.

Impus Major's eternal good nature astonishes me.
He got up an hour early this morning (so it must have felt like 6:00 am to him), was out the door by 8:15 am, got to school by 8:45 am and learned that:
(1) Both of his "core" classes had been canceled for the day.
(2) He forgot his guitar for his guitar class that runs from 5:00 - 6:40 pm.
Any "normal" person would have sighed, come home, and taken the day off to play video games.
Impus Major decided to stay at school, socialize on campus for 8 hours, then take his guitar class without his guitar.
Now that is dedication!

OK. The school district just officially announced that all field trips through April 10 are canceled, so the decision has been made for the chaperones.
What's a bit annoying is that they're now trying to come up with "alternative plans" for the 72 hours, and it's one of those situations where trying to get around the letter of the law is not the right thing to do.
Protect the kids. They're young. They'll have many, many more chances to go on field trips!
(Yeah, yeah, I know -- the coronavirus is remarkably kind to children, and only kills off us old folk, but having all your chaperones get sick and collapse may make for a fun teenage comedy, but in reality it's pretty awful.)

But...but...just think of the high-jinks and zany mayhem that could ensue!

The construction workers digging big holes all over our school grounds to start work on the new building broke the water main this evening, so we're closed until ten tomorrow.
I laugh only because it gives an alternate explanation for shuddering fury and tears of pain.
(Also because it's funny.)

On a total change of topic (can you tell I finished writing all my certification exam questions and now I'm just spending a day copy-and-pasting into the tool they finally opened for me?):
This is my players in a nutshell.
GM NobodysHome: You find an office with a desk, a lot of paperwork on the desk, and two safes.
Helden: Do the keys fit the safes?
GMNH: Yes.
Helden: I open the safes.
GMNH: You find a large amount of cash and a bunch of magic items.
Helden: Oooh! (loot loot loot)
Neirida: Hey! You can't just loot that! That's probably this company's payroll, and we don't have any evidence that they've done anything wrong yet!
Blackwarm: Neirida is right. Taking that would just be stealing. We've been through most of this place already and it seems like a legitimate business. We'll come back and get it if we find out they're doing anything wrong.
Helden: (sighs) OK. You're right. (puts loot back and re-locks safe)And yes, after exploring the rest of the location they learned that they were in a legitimate business whose employees had been Charmed to overlook certain... irregularities, so they decided that they were right in not stealing the company blind.
And this is why AP authors have to write for all player types, and put loot in "obviously lootable" situations. (My Shattered Star players were gasping at the "evil tribe's" ridiculous wealth totaling thousands, if not tens of thousands, of gold pieces, but considering they were the *only* auto-kill "all players will do this" encounter, it was the correct move by the author.)
Interestingly, my group did the exact same thing...it just didn't feel right to them for "great heroes trying to save the world" to loot a legitimate business.

Not gonna lie, I fell asleep the first time.
It took so long that I started reading and then simply was overcome with unconsciousness, only woken up when shaken by my mother-in-law really concerned that I was "missing it!"
It takes a loooooooong time. Took longer than expected with drugs - it was only after they wore off that we actually succeeded.
The second time wasn't nearly as long, but that's because it was an emergency due to blood pressure stuff, so an entirely different situation.

Stealing is wrong.

Anyone know any good free publishing software?
Not sure if it's what you want, but maybe Scribus?

Anyway, all that to say - I feel ya, my dude!
And you'll be tired and mad and exhausted and crazy: but it's worth it. Keep calm and carry on! Love you, brother! And congratulations!
Everyone says that.
But then everyone says New Zealand is beautiful. Lewis Black has a standup bit where he points out he doesn't know if it really is, cause after 14 hours flying anything is, and he would have performed at an iceberg for 2 penguins by then.
It's been 27 hours.
I'm pretty sure parenthood is New Zealand.

Croc hunter is on the TV (Tala loved that guy growing up). It's talking about invasive foreign species in Australia "ruining the ecosystem".
Oh, heaven forbid the land with the largest spiders, most painful rash causing plants, and most poisonous critters on earth has it's precious local wildlife taken out.
Also, 31 hours in this g+#+~!n f~%&ing hospital and she's been at 5cm for 7 f~%#ing hours.

I took a solid 25 hours to get into the world.
