Specifically, waiting for a snow day to get declared.
I repeat my above statement and add an accusation of poor planning against your local traffic department.

LOL!
Colorado Springs is an odd duck in this regard. In spite of living at over 2 KM above sea level [5,740–7,200 ft (1,832 m)] with a fourteener in our back yard this is an amazingly sunny climate.
Locals tend to know how to drive in snowy weather, but we have tens of thousands of military and military dependents so it can get pretty interesting on the roads.
This is also a fairly dry climate so heavy amounts of snow can be a bit challenging here. ;)

I managed to get my knee pain-free for one whole hour tonight and totally zonked. Then I moved and that was all she wrote. Sitting up seems to help, though. Maybe I'll go try to sleep in a chair.
Freezing rain, ice, and snow are coming soon, they say. Woo-hoo? I saw one map that said 4"-9" of snow and another that said 1" of ice.

No snow here but rain predicted through the weekend. It's bright-sunny-clear out right now though (*grumble*), supposed to hit this afternoon or evening after a small shower last night.
Apparently there's just one major storm that's moving over the middle and east US. So BT, Scint, and I are getting different sections of that same storm if true.

And now to go in a completely different direction.....
As I've mentioned before, in our Wednesday night Pathfinder FR game, I play an elf wizard. I gave him the Arcane Bond to a dagger, but I keep hearing arguments to change it to Familiar. We're being pretty flexible with our characters - making tweaks and such - so it wouldn't be tough.
So, what do you folks think? Object or Familiar?
I gotta say, I like the object so far - although the only thing it lets me do at present is cast an extra spell without prep. But the down side of losing it and having a tough time casting a spell seems....tough.

Familiar is better at most levels, however it's more work (but with more roleplay opportunities). This is all IMO.

I agree! I left it years ago but I some of my besties are still there. Mhhmm aspens!
Plus the damn peak meeting the plains made fun stuff like tornados and summertime hail storms an occasional, but often interesting to watch, experience. Like lake effects...but from mountains.
