Shadow Lodge

Could be worse. Could be thinking of AZ Naked Thriller Dancing.

Sadly my cousin didn’t make it. RIP Paul, you were a good man, you will be missed.

You have my condolences.

I went thru a bone marrow transplant 2 1/2 years ago.
Sad to say, several of the other patients on the transplant ward with me had that same result.
There is a very risky period after the transplant that can last months while your immune system works to replenish itself.
If you had to transplant bone marrow cells from someone else, it takes at least three times as long.
Even after that, you can have reversals.
Please tell the family from someone who went through the process that, well actually there's not much to say.
I can say how much I appreciate the people who were there for me throughout the process.
I'm sure your cousin would like to thank those who were with him, too.

My thoughts are with your family.

Ha ha, nekkid TOZ the dance critic.

Nope, I think of him asking for brains at Popeyes, and them giving him a bucket of chicken and smiling weird and saying, "Yeah, um here is you brains sir."

My mom got her gall bladder out too. I'm sorry to hear you are going through such an awful time, it sounds like one thing after another to infinity.

Yes, another stressful two days off just plain shot in the rump. I've been up and down in bed all day today.

From what the doctor's said, my father is going to have the gallstones removed and his gall bladder too. It's nothing serious, but he will be on more medication than he can afford.

At least Tuesday night is quiet and I got my movie time on Monday. Looking forward to see Johnny English and the Three Musketeers.

I fully realize that not everyone agrees with me. My opinion, if it is not Lawful good, it is not a Paladin. Holy Warrior of some sort, and there are those, but not a Paladin. Personally I thought 3.0 should have made them into a prestige class, but once again I am in the minority. Oh well.

What as a PrC? Yeah i would have done that, and have made Wizards a PrC that is easiest for a Sorcerer to have become. Oh well.

i dunno about sorcerer->wizard because of the existence of archmage, but I'm sure something could have been worked out.

Yeah, let me rephrase that, A well designed PrC.

Which I have honestly always had a preference for the 5 level ones.

This idea was long before the Archmage came out.

Well for the design of the PrC I would have to get rich and pay the Buhlman for a side project, assuming he had the time.

Minor Rant (that would bring the trolls if mentioned anywhere else...)

Spoiler:

Ok, so here in Colorado you can by marijuana for "medicinal" purposes. I would say that "medicinal" is loosely used in this case. Many/Most of these places have on-staff doctors at the locations (which only deal in pot) to prescribe the "medicine" to any warm body that comes in. Fine ... whatever... I really don't care about that -- although I find it interesting that there are probably more of these little "hole-in-the-wall" establishments than there are ... Starbucks here in Colorado Springs.

What gets me is that they are starting to call these places -- "Wellness Centers". Seriously? While I'm not going to debate that there are medicinal purposes for the stuff -- I still feel it's a far cry from "wellness".

wise not to mention it elsewhere, although I think it would attract just as many debates as trolls. I also think the word wellness is the only one they can use due to legal reasons, like how certain vitamins are "supplements", and so on.

Yea. like an avalanche, it's coming down the mountain.

Things are good, it doesn't appear that my father is suffering from pancreatitis or any other detrimental complications, but at his age, I'm waiting for something else to go wrong.

I'm doing fine myself, stressed but I'm more concerned about my mother and her health now. Especially now she being dismissed on the 31st of this month. I'm going to need another chat with my employer and friends.

On the sunnier side of life, it's Wednesday and thus it's time for my weekly pilgrimage to Alternate Reality Comics and my pile of literature.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

RPG Superstar 2012

I turned in my resignation letter today. It's kinda sad, since I like this job. I like being near my family more, though.

I start the new (former) job on the 14th, and my manager already has a bunch of things he'd like me to work on.

Did you manage to get out of your lease?

It's mid-forties with a cold drizzle here today and should be about the same at 7:05 tonight. I hope the junior leaguers enjoy the break from that hot Texas weather.

Aren't they near any cities? Are they too ashamed to identify with a particular Texas city, or didn't any city want their name attached to the team?
