I am also making BUCKWHEAT TEA(which I am icing to make BUCKWHEAT ICED TEA)!Does it taste anything like barley tea? The great little Korean restaurant in NH's neighborhood used to make it both hot and iced.Do you happen to remember its name? Was it Bowl'd, or somewhere else?
Like there is any OTHER Korean place in your neighborhood?!?
I miss their bibimbop and their chicken wings. Also the fact that they had the fish-shaped red bean ice cream sandwiches I liked so much in the cooler by the entrance.
I haven't had Korean food, sushi, or dim sum in two years.
EDIT: Because you can't go into restaurants naked.
Except that one really good pizza place in the Mission District during the Folsom Street Fair.

no...barley tea tastes..well, awful. It has a very distinct POWERFUL flavor. Buckeheat tea is different. It is very mild, and has a nutty flavor. It is AMAZINGLY REFRESHING cold.

Great, now instead of political rallies at bars my brother is inviting us to zoom parties for political rallies during happy hour, which I'm not even sure how that works, do we set PayPal to link with him and his wife getting tanked in their garage and everyone throws bitcoins at them until they dance or something.
Or maybe everyone leaves Dane county and zooms them hanging at a bar in a stupid county.
Edit: After reading it, yes, they expect us to get drinks and snacks and link to the zoom party and throw money at them.
Ask everyone to send the bitcoins to you so you can make the run to the party store.
Then they can watch you party.

My brother and his wife are like Micheal (except blonde) and Jan (except with dark hair) from the dinner party episode of The Office.

It got me interested enough to play the video game. So I've started witcher 3. I got to say Henry Cavil is spot on with the character from the video game. I haven't seen enough of yessica in the game to say one way or the other for her.
I will admit that the show didn't completely pull me in but I would watch another season. I think they maybe didn't spend enough time on Gerald's character but I think they were trying to establish a the world, while also making the fans happy, moving the plot along, and having 3 characters to follow all in 8 episodes. I think it was a task they handled relatively well.
Why not "Fun guy"?

Fun-guy is how I've always heard it said here. Fun-jee is a much rarer alternative.
It's going to be a looooooooooooong week.
(1) At work, I handed off on Friday, meaning that this is a "down" week for me so I'm dealing with months' worth of administrative crap stuff. It's lightweight, no-brain work, but it needs to get done, so it's just finding the patience and mental focus to do it. Working on intelligent stuff that requires thought is a LOT easier than, "OK, review this file, determine what content you still need, put the content in the appropriate location, then delete the file." Bleah.
(2) It's Impus Major's finals week, which means keeping him focused for four more days. He already turned in his psychology final (a solid B+ in that class), but his calculus final is on Wednesday, his physics final is on Thursday, and his final English paper is due at 5:59 am on Friday. So it's all about getting him to NOT goof off all day today and tomorrow and actually use his down time to get some needed studying done.
(3) I've taken over catching Impus Minor up with his coursework, which means sitting down with him for at least half an hour a day to make him DO it. Since I'm working solid from 6:30 am - 4:00 pm, it means part of my evening has to be sacrificed to that as well.
(4) I have Wednesday off to attempt to make a Costco run. I do not look forward to the attempt.

This morning I got through my own children's end-of-year parent teacher conferences (both got good final reports, Hermione is doing better in math (hooray!), nothing bad this time), then an early parent conference for one of my students (family going on vacation to Galveston for the week, because Governor Abbott says it's safe), then my own end-of-year teacher evaluation. Which was freaking *glowing*. My boss really likes me.
Anyone who can't understand my surprise hasn't spent much time around school directors, most of whom studied under Count Rugen, the six-fingered man.
I had a door-to-door salesperson for a Pest Control company come knocking a couple of days ago.
STIll stood there and tried to convince me even after I explained that we already had a pest control company, and yes we were happy with them and NO I am NOT interested in a change-my-pest-company-discount.
Ended up slowly but firmly closing the door on him.

My favorite door to door experience is when Jehovah's Witnesses stopped by during butchering season.
They knocked, I opened it holding the gutting knife and a bloody smock so they ask, hesitantly, if my parents are home, so I yell to dad that someone's at the door, he turns around, cleaver in one hand and a turkey head in the other and says as warmly as possible "Oh hey, come on in!"
A half hour later a sheriff's deputy rolls up, an hour after that we sold him one of our freshly butchered turkeys and some bacon.

So, this is mainly for Orthos since he's interested in AP authoring fails, but after my Strange Aeons game ended in stupid fashion yesterday afternoon, here's my post-mortem.
(For those who don't want spoilers, the PCs successfully Scried BBEG so I allowed them to use a Greater Teleport to get to him, violating generally-agreed-upon scry-n-fry no-nos. With a necromancer with a pet skeleton with orders to put the Portable Hole into the Bag of Holding the moment the party disappeared, the final fight was just one big sucking sound.)
I am running this campaign now virtually. This is very helpful.
The campaign definitely has some shortcomings, and reading the boards has helped me anticipate pitfalls.

I gave up on Witcher 3 after trying it 3 or 4 years ago. But the show inspired me to reinstall it and give it another try. I’m now nearing the end and it IS a good game, but I still wouldn’t put it in my top 5.

The old owner of my house put up a conspicuous “NO SOLICITING” sign. We have left it there. Given the condition of the house when we bought it, that was probably the only helpful contribution he ever made to it.

So one of my signups for PaizoCon Online is a Pathfinder 2e game which I... Ahem... have never actually played. So I figured this is a good time to brush up on the system. I’m an experienced gamer; how hard could it be?
Now I am reading the Core Rulebook and... I am scared.
Is it just me, or is this system really complicated?
It looks really complicated, but once you start playing it's not so bad.
You just have to keep reminding yourself it's a completely different game from Pathfinder Classic.
