I have solved the problem of GOG tempting me with their games!

I don't have enough cash on my paypal account for another game anymore!

And not enough cash for new clothes apparently...

I just installed three games (one of which I bought a month or so ago during another sale).

What should I play first?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Well... What games did you install?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Yes. What games are we talking about, Drejk?

Pickle Wars!!!

I blame Tacticslion. It isn't that he has done anything wrong. He hasn't. I just need a scapegoat and he is available. Sorry Tacticslion, but you are to blame.

Of course, that now lets Cosmo off the hook. ~thinks~ hmmmmnnnnnnn... Maybe I need to rethink this.

Hey! I'm a scapelion!

(Also, I wouldn't turn down a pizza.)

It looks as if my idea for bring your own meat Friday is a success.

Every friday at work we fire up the barbecues for lunch today was carne asada.

That would be baaaaaa-baa-baa-bad.

Desperados, Silver, and Fantasy Wars. The first one isn't working properly - it's terribly lagging because of some issues with directx. Maybe I will look deeper into possible solutions later.

Ok, trying that Silver game.

Ugh... It crashed so hard that I had to manually reset the computer and booting took two or three times as long as usual...

Last game isn't old so it shouldn't have serious issues. Or so I think.

Oh, heck, c'mon over!

We have a pot of homemade chicken soup going begging for the sick one, and I *love* asking kids, "So, what do you feel like eating?" and coming up with something interesting.

Might be a bit of a commute for you, though...

EDIT: Yes, as many on this thread know, we are unabashed, unashamed, "spend more than you have" foodies. Tonight's dinner is Farmer's Market cassoulet with duck sausage and crepinettes, NobodysHome's "more butter than potato" mashed potatoes, a fresh organic salad, and a "one stick of butter is never enough" loaf of garlic bread. And yes, we'll feed anyone who comes over.
As I tell the guy who runs the apple orchard where we get all our apples, "No, my goal isn't to be thin. It's to make all my friends fatter than I am."
So far, I am very successful...

Eh... it's not that kind of sick, I'm afraid. It's the other kind. No, not that other kind... the other other kind.

LOL. I love it!

Nah, I think my favorite-ever moment was a few months ago when I went to the corner store, looked over the produce at 5:30 in the evening (they close at 7), and realized that everything was crap except... a leek.

So I minced up the leek with some soy sauce, mirin, and brown sugar, threw in a couple of pork chops, added some seasoned rice, and had Impus Major declare, "Wow, Dad! This dinner is awesome! Why don't you make it more often?"

"Er... because I made it up based on what was in the cupboard and the store?"

Some kids just don't understand...

I personally believe Captain Yesterday refers to "my phone" when he means "my Multiple Personality Disorder". Try replacing it in all his posts. It's awesomeness.

Has anyone told you you're really bad at your job?

So what's my job, to tell people "in hindsight, you should've done that better and/or differently"

So the fact that I haven't posted for another hour and a half certainly is a sign. In this case the sign that game is not only working but it is also occupying my attention.

So, shortly speaking, it seems that someone decided to give try of making a game that uses combat mechanics of Fantasy General (hex grid, missile and flier support to nearby combatants, army recruited between battles, during the battle you can take units from reserve or hope to replenish unit strength at towns, or rest when no enemies are nearby) with a sort of Warcraft 3 graphics and feel. At least that's the feel regarding early plot: a young commander, an old mage being his friend and patron... Orcs marauding around... Demons mentioned in the intro as an ancient threat that was defeated some six hundred years ago...

Sure why not?

~laughter~ Right.

Cats = Attention whores
Cate = Most destructive being in the universe
Cats = No respect for any lesser beings i.e. - Humans, dogs

Odd useless observation for tonight:

Of the six members of your squad in Mass Effect 1 (each corresponding to one of the six character classes), the three female characters are all specialists (Ashley: Soldier (combat); Liara: Adept (biotics); and Tali: Engineer (tech)), while the three male characters are all hybrid classes (Kaidan: Sentinel (biotics/tech); Wrex: Vanguard (biotics/combat); and Garrus: Infiltrator (tech/combat)).

You like Tacos... get some ground beef and chorizo cook it up in a cast iron pan with mexican tomato sauce and garlic salt. Get some corn tortillas fill it with the cooked meat. Get some toothpicks to seal them up and then sink them in 350 degree oil.

Enjoy

You know, I think I remember noticing that, too...and also being kind of annoyed because I wanted to put the guy characters in my party to see the romance dialogue options, but they were never as good at doing stuff as the specialist girls would be.

Of course, I could be remembering that wrong. It was back when the game was pretty new, I think...

You're pretty much not wrong-- the only time I've used one of the hybrid characters was the one time I played Shepard as an hybrid class, just to round out the party.
