*sniff*
Every grocery store is crowded.
But Wegman's was recently called the most trusted brand in America, so I know I am not alone.

I had a great time at New York Ponycon. It was my first convention of the year, and as such I have a lot pics. But I wanted to start with this one if only because I couldn't get a picture of PINKIE PIE and MAUD PIE because I didn't have the money to take pictures of them(although I had the cash for the autograph). I hope to run into them both at Bronycon later on this year..I'll get a picture WITH them if I can, as well as an autograph on the Pie Sisters card I use as a bookmark.

However, there was more to this time than just ponies. There was mom's birthday for instance.
This time, I FINISHED my beer.

Unfortunately the pics didn't come out very well
This is one of the last performances with elephants. I'm unsure about the poor treatment of elephants, but if the elephants would be happier elsewhere, then I'm all for it.

Then there was the BURLESQUE SHOW!
Also the first one of the year. I can't wait for the others!

And then there was...
I arrived a bit late(I take the subway regularly but this was Long Island Railroad, which is very different) to the performance(and overdressed...but I'm glad I didn't wear clothes that would have inspired me to take my shirt off and start whipping it around, cheering, because I would have), but I was in time for everything to start. It was a Brahms-heavy performance, and I feared it would be a bit dry as a result, but I was about to have my world ROCKED. I had just spotted CH in the choir, and I was thumbing through the program, wondering if I would hear him sing above all the other voices when I heard a commanding voice. A rich, buttery voice that *made* me look up and IT WAS CH. There are no words to describe his bass voice other than rich, buttery, and SMOOTH because he moved everyone in the audience every time he soloed! A BASS SOLO- Very rare, as we discussed later over dinner. But there needs to be more of them because CH shook the house down. I think someone notified the local FD that the roof was on fire, but noone cared.

Then, adventure time ended with
Once again, I was late- a part of Brooklyn I don't go into very often or know very well was where the venue was located, and I went the wrong way first- THANKS GOOGLE MAPS. I eventually righted myself and went to the performance. The venue was a bar that was quite empty, so it wasn't hard to pick out our other musical FAWTL- OR SO I THOUGHT AT FIRST. It turned out that the guy I thought was Dave- the skinny bearded dude on the far left- WAS NOT HIM. So I kept looking at the stage at the guy who I thought was big and holding a tiny guitar and it wasn't him- hiliarous afterwards when I introduced myself and he said "Dave, someone's here to see you!"
As noted a few pages back, Dave is quite tall. I am...of normal height. He noted that I was the only FaWTL I am taller than is our dear Solnes, which hurt as I thought that Jess Door was shorter than me, but she is not. I would set black manliness to Gary Coleman levels, but that would only end in tears. At least I'm taller than Scint...(which I shouldn't point out too often lest I end up Cotton Hill'd)
But I bought some stuff! Some of which I need to Paypal Dave for, but I have the shirt AND AUTOGRAPHED CD FOR HIS BAND!!!!!!!! Also, one of the NPCs in the Kingmaker game has taken on the name Hennesey as a psuedonym while travelling anonymously in Brevoy. And Dave bought me a beer or two! I'm not sure how much I drank as I..have...less..tolerance than my black manliness would imply, and I had to go to work the next day. But still, it was an awesome end to a fun filled week(and a half?) of adventure, Ponycon included.
More pics coming of upcoming adventures. Like when I defeated Joss Whedon's, Alton Brown's and Zuckerberg's champions/giant robots in combat(start fight at 3:18, deathblow at 5:02).

Using that description, you somehow managed to pick out the smallest guy in the band, who was also holding the largest instrument.
