How about a "Do you really need me to explain why I am flagging this poster yet again?" flag?

Why pure, delicious Haterade (tm) of course! I wouldn't drink anything else. That said, if you would like, please send him my email or better yet, invite him to the messageboards so he can enjoy the ponyfinder and brony threads; either would be fawsome!

You'll have to PM me your e-mail. It's been awhile. He's not on FB frequently (or if he is, he's notably lurking), but I'll pass along.

My job is really getting to me. It's not that it's getting worse; it's that it's not getting better and I am getting to a point where I can't take it anymore. I always try to take pride in anything I do, and it really bothers me that I know I my clients are getting substandard service from me because there are 300 of them and I have about 90 to 120 minutes per day to address their issues.

Dang. Sorry to hear it, CH. I know what you mean about being prevented from doing good work. :(

The pains of perfectionism :|

we gave Sabines grandma the Ipad to read her yellow press because she did not get a paper one.
it went reasonably well considering it was her first contact with any kind of computer or the internet

Silver Crusade

I don't think "yellow press" is the term you are looking for. In English, that refers to sensationalist, misleading journalism.

(Unless her grandmother is a fan of trashy tabloids...)

Ha! My grandfather learned to use computer in his late seventies and early eighties. Two weeks before his death at 89 he finally learned how to burn CD on his own without needing my help.

I know what you mean.

The Internet restricts me from offering the best that Rule 34 has to offer.

Striving for perfection is a curse.

Just because something is binary doesn't mean it can't be still be complicated. I forget how many pages long my name is in 1s and 0s.

Indeed. This is a great truth. If ever there came a time when we men finally understood them, you would know for certain that the universe was about to end in seconds.
Men tend to be binary, women are...ah...polyary? I find that this is the biggest issue between men and women- men are very yes/no, while women understand maybe and all of the shades in between.

Not in my experience.

Actually this notion that men are somehow more simple baffles me. Especially when my husband says it right after we've had some major misunderstanding because he was upset with me for not being able to read his mind.....right. Sorry, but no. You don't get to say you're simple and then act complicated. :/

Going back and forth between social circles that are made up of girls and ones made up of guys I find that both sets have complicated social rules that somehow you're supposed to learn by observation which isn't always so easy and that whichever set of rules you know seems simple and the set you don't know seems mysterious and complicated. And for those of us caught in the middle both sides are maddening.

I was just filling out an online form, and the dropdown box for 'Title' that usually contains Mr./Miss/Ms/Mrs./Dr./etc. also contained options for 'The Honourable', and 'Dame'.

It took an act of great will to resist representing myself to this organization as 'The Honorable $MYREALNAME'.

(I know that's a title that has a specific meaning, and I wouldn't *actually* do it, but it was so tempting, because it's not a normal option.)

My real name isn't British enough to carry off a 'Dame' appellation, more's the pity.

Though it would work nicely for the (sadly retired) character upon whom this forum alias was based. 'Dame Lindisty Alexander' sounds quite appropriate, I think.

You are not alone in that, although it's getting better now that I'm on the cusp of being able to buy clothes in normal stores instead of going to the 'fat chicks only' stores. Shoes, on the other hand... I will never not hate shopping for shoes.

I'm thankful that I can, but the only annoyance is that the same size shirt isn't necessarily the same size. I now wear XL (when I used to have 4XL) and some are made roomily and then some are what I would describe as 'hipster slim'. Ixnay on the latter.

In agreement about shoes. I wear 13, but I hardly have an arch. Most tennis shoes tend to have them built in. And I prefer a cushioned sole.

I don't know about guys' clothing, but Old Navy is great for women's clothing. Wait for a sale, and it's relatively cheap. You can get good clothes for casual to business casual, the sizes tend to run just a bit generous. I was so excited to be able to fit into their normal sizes. At ON I can now wear a Large or XLarge, depending on the cut. Occasionally I actually have to go with a medium, even! You do, unfortunately, have to try stuff on because of hte size variances. And shoes are my bane. Size 10-11 wide width Dutch feet - not easy to fit. >.<

@ Jess, it's those darned wooden shoes.

Old Navy is good stuff. Will likely head there for casual attire for business once someone decides to think I'm worth their time employing. Until then, only shopping I do right now for clothes is the occasional concert t-shirt if budget permits. :)

OK, OTD has gotten to me so I'm pulling a Patrick (<3 u Patrick!) and closing it off. I'm on FB or PM if you need me. It's not that I am tempted to get into fisticuffs; it's just seeing the ugliness at the core of some psyches has shaken my faith in humanity and made me feel very unwelcome at Paizo.
