OK, so my group just had such an anti-WW moment on Sunday it was noteworthy (and LM will back me on how this wouldn't have worked in a WW game):
If you haven't seen Gamers: Dorkness Rising, DO IT!!!!
So, the party finished Book 1 of Shattered Star, and got their 8 Pathfinder Prestige Points each...
...and promptly pooled their points to get the 32 points necessary to cast a True Resurrection on an NPC absolutely irrelevant to the plot. There wasn't any discussion at all; just, "Hey, if we pool our points we can raise that NPC we liked!" "Cool! Let's do it!"
Just the kind of group I love running for.
So yeah, the party would have NONE of that nonsense, resurrected him, and paid the temple of Abadar to give him gainful employment for at least 6 months until he could get back on his feet.
My kind of party.

Gamers: Dorkness Rising is simply great fun. Absolutely recommend it - it isn't the most high quality production, but Firedove and I have had lots of fun with that over the years.
That was a glorious moment and we've had similar effects in our own games. Always a good feeling.
(Gamers, the prequel by the same people - Dead Gentlemen Productions - was quite decent, but clearly a college film made on peoples' own time. The same people are behind the company Zombie Orpheous Entertainment - ZOE for short - and they came out with a fantastic series, JourneyQuest; JQ has the first three seasons for free on YouTube now. They also did the short series Humans and Housholds, Hands of Fate, Natural 1, and others. They come highly recommended.)

Here's one that's a really sore spot for me: People who choose to avoid doctors. (And that "choose" is really important, because with medical bills being what they are, there are many, many people in this country who have to skip medical care to put food on the table, and I hold them no ill will whatsoever for living in a country where such a thing is so commonplace.)
Anyway, caveats aside, Impus Minor broke his iPhone face, then proceeded to look at it while holding it over his face. So yeah, broken glass got in his eyes, and today he had to come home from school because his eyes hurt too much.
75 minutes and $40 later, the optometrist gave his eyes a clean bill of health; his tear ducts had done their job, and it was all going to heal up just fine with no actions necessary on our part.
The peace of mind that time and money bought me is just priceless. Yet *SOOOOO* many people who could afford both would just say, "Oh, let's just wait to see whether it gets any worse..."

Guys! Guys! Guys! Guys!
Apollos Hester has his own YouTube channel!
He's a motivational speaker!
And he hasn't aged a day in five years!
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
(He's the guy that got songified in the foozbhall song links I provided earlier; he intentionally collaborated with Schmoyoho on the second as a remix and it's lovely.)
EDIT: the music links from before:
Oh! Hey!

I have medicaid because I' m so poor, which is probably the only thing nice about being poor compared to middle class, and I still avoid the doctor.
...but then, I've been locked in a hospital against my will, so, you know, I have reasons to be very uncomfortable in them.

It's Wrath of the Righteous, book 3, Demon's Heresy.
The one I have has all the significant places with letters or exceptionally poor quality - I can't find an unmarked map of good quality.
If it doesn't work out, that's understandable. But I appreciate you checking! Thanks!

I downloaded the WotR poster map portfolio and it's... er... awful.
Most portfolios let you have GM views, player views, map tags on, and map tags off for every map in the AP.The WotR map portfolio is just three "artistic" renditions of areas. It's not particularly usable.
So I'm not surprised you can't an unmarked PDF; such a thing may not exist.

I wonder if I'm going to get harassed by Italian immigration officials at some point. I am legally allowed a total of 90 days in the European Union in any 180 day period. I though I'd have to work over Spring Break this year, so I booked a 10 day trip to Germany over my birthday in late April (except now I'm spending a third of it in France, because ending up in France is apparently just what I do, now). Then I got Spring Break off, and I can't reschedule the Germany trip, so whatever. So I'll go to Italy over Spring Break. 6 full days of All Ancient Ruins, All The Time between Rome, Paestum, and Naples. But then I got into that super interesting Summer study abroad that starts in Italy but is mostly in Greece, so that's another three weeks.
All told, if travel time counts against visa, I'm looking at about 45 days within 3 months, and I don't have any other trips to Europe in a 180 day period before or after, so I'm within the rules as written. I will, however, only have 3 weeks between each trip. I'm wondering if, by the third time, immigration will be like "What is this?"
Oh, and on the way back from Greece, I'm gonna chill in Scotland for a while. Decompress from study abroad and cool off from the Mediterranean head. See some castles, do various Scottish things, pop down to York for the British National Railroad Museum, which is supposed to even be better than the two amazing ones I went to in Japan. Who knows what Brexit is gonna do with that immigration procedure? I made sure my layover in Heathrow on the way in is, like, 4 hours in case it's all sorts of jacked up.
My sister goes to the railway museum all the time & it's pretty good - I hear. I can recommend a few pubs around, mostly for drink rather than food & would probably advise against going into the Minster (based on price) but the surrounds are free.

Oracles must have interesting childhoods in my campaign setting. One skill that is common, though not universal, among divine spellcasters is the ability to read the stars. Something no non-divine spellcaster could do. The stars are echoes left behind by particularly bright burning lives that ended in their prime. All people powerful in body, mind, or spirit, and all died young. A divine spellcaster can read these stars, to an extent. It's like a particularly long and detailed tombstone epitaph. And brighter stars are easier to read, with some being dim, worn out, and difficult. Not to mention language barriers. Practically, reading these stars is a great aid in navigation. There is no rotation to the world, so stars are static within the sky, and if you can identify stars by reading them, they make a perfect navigation landmark.
More spiritually, though, imagine being an Oracle child who suddenly realizes they can read the stars. Most people grow up knowing the stories of the big stars, the bright ones that even non spellcasters can read and navigate by. But you can read all of the local stars. Hundreds of stars. Stories nobody has ever told you. But all short, and tantalizingly sparse in detail. Every night you look up at the sky, and it opens up to you like a book. And then you travel, and all the stars you grew up with are no longer visible, because you entered a different pantheon's realm. So know a whole new set of stories is before you, if you can understand their language.

Whiskey, that's a bit of a tricky one as predominately a beardy-ale drinker (I may ask some friends). I would say "Evil Eye" has some great cocktails, but if you are trying to minimise calorie intake it's not ideal. It also has some decent thai-food & is a very interesting pub.
"House of Trembling Madness" is a fun one, "Maltings" has decent food (when it's on). And you can walk around the entire city Walls, which is very cool.

Can't have a national anthem if you aren't a nation anymore*, can you?

I'm now just playing a ton of classical and waiting for kids to tell me that it's "Tom and Jerry music."
I make my own fun.
Show them the Kill the Wabbit opera cartoon and make it an assignment to point out what it satires, how it does so, and how the cartoon if it were remade today with less transphobic undertones would be different.

Impus Major: I just accidentally put on a pair of Mom's pants and I feel bad about how small her pockets are.
Speaking of which, I have a Good Idea for you, sir.
What you should do is get a pair of chef's trousers with the letters 'XP' printed all over them.
Then, turn up to a TTRPG session and see how long it takes the other participants to realise, with surprise and delight, that you are wearing Experience Pants
If you're unlucky, they'll just think you're a fan of a very old version of Windows.
If you're lucky, they may ask you, with a saucy wink and a suggestive leer, what might be experienced in your Experience Pants.

I'm 95% certain I've mentioned this before, but I actually crunched some numbers so here we go:
In the 14 years we've owned the Prius, it's cost us a grand total of well under $60,000, including original purchase, repairs, gas, maintenance, insurance, and so forth. I decided to go with a gross overestimate just for comparison. It's well over 160,000 miles, but let's round off.
So, cost to drive the Prius = $60,000/160,000 = $0.375 per mile. Let's go ahead and round up to $0.40/mile. Well, maybe there are some hidden costs in there, so let's go to $0.50/mile, or even the official government reimbursement rate of $0.575 per mile.
Cost to drive to DVC = 25.5 miles x $0.575/mile = $14.66. The Google trip time is 33 minutes, but let's round that up to 40 minutes.
Cost to take public transportation to DVC = $16.30, with a fastest time of 85 minutes.
And THAT, my friends, is public transportation in the U.S. It costs more than it does to drive alone, and takes over twice as long.
*SIGH*

Speaking of things I don't understand, maybe someone who understands licensing better than I do (Freehold? TOZ?) can explain this to me:
WizKids does a LOT of licensed minis for Paizo, including mini sets for the APs, of which I own quite a few.
Yet it seems like they didn't get naming licenses: A barbed devil is labeled a "sentinel devil". A stirge is labeled a "bloodwing". And so forth.
And, when you have as many minis as I do (over 1000) and you keep them all in a spreadsheet, searching for "stirge" or "barbed devil" or "troglodyte" or "derro" and coming up empty, only to find out that you really do have all of those figures, they're just called something different is... frustrating.
So, what gives? If Paizo is licensing the figure likenesses to WizKids, shouldn't they also be licensing the names?

I believe it's tied to the OGL, you'll notice they changed the name for some of those for 2nd edition (example 1: Stirges are in fact called Bloodseekers now, and example 2: Mites are mitflits).
Also, troglodytes are now called Xulgath and Derro are spelled Dero (I'm guessing to match Lovecraft or whoever originally created them).

I think that is the gist of it. Pathfinder is based on open gaming license that states that any use of OGL material needs to be accompanied by the license (that's why every book has OGL text included). You can't really attach the license to a figure and the boxes might be too small to contain the license (and I am not sure if that would legally fulfill the demands of the license in the the first place, go check with your IP lawyer). While many D&D, Pathfinder, and other system creatures are too generic to be legally actionable, some of them do. For example troglodyte is a historical term... except it has no relation to lizardfolk, referring to various ideas of cavemen, hermits, and obscure, possibly fictional, possibly real groups of peoples referred to by Ancient Greeks.
Using their own names for various ideas makes the things easier for Paizo to handle licensing.
