It will be absolutely awesome when you're done. Our plumbing projects have been huge pains, but have actually worked and saved us tons of cash doing it ourselves. Good luck.

As for me, let's just say I hope you guys are feeling a lot better than I am. And now, back to bed.

I had a snotty nose for 2 weeks; don't know what it was; then I had a new cold for a week.
I feel better than you do, but I'm just tired.

Has been a long but mostly good day.
Bryce had a playdate with a friend, an actual honest to goodness friend who wanted to spend time with him. And it went great. First time ever. I'm still reeling from it a little cause it was at ChuckECheese and the noise there always leaves me in bad shape, but it was totally worth it.
Then we went for a walk. Between being out of shape and having asthma problems because it's spring it was a very challenging walk for me, but hey, at least I got out and exercised. :)
Had to run an errand and got lots of free samples at the store where I buy my skin care stuff. I so love free samples. And then delicious Chinese food for dinner.
And now to try to cajole overstimulated tired boy to go to bed so overtired parents can watch tv.

Evening.

Good to see Mac around.

I always feel personally heartened when one of those set-in-stone future fantasy dates are hit IRL. It's like... "Whew, made it!"

Good morning FAWTLiers! Silent Tide went well last night. Now son #2 is currently flying back to Minnesota as I type this :( However, son #3 is here for the remainder of the week so that eases the pain. Geez it's so hard when they leave.

@ Tordek, do you get any players mentioning that Season 0 scenarios only give 1 PA but others give 2 PA? That is why I haven't run many Season 0 lately.

As they have just started PFS no, they aren't concerned with PA yet. I chose Silent Tide because we plan to go to Gencon this year, and I knew the chances of running into that scenario were extremely low.

Plus, last summer when Wolfthulhu ran a PFS scenario for our group, he chose a season 0 scenario, and I didn't have a problem with it. I figure since the there is always a chance of not getting 2 PA's when completing a scenario anyway, gaining only 1 PA is not a huge setback.

Edited to correct the spelling of Wolfthulhu. My bad.

Not this coming Friday, 3/25. It is the following Friday, 4/1 (NOT an April Fool's joke). I still have boys visiting through 3/27.

And yes, I'm looking forward to the epic

just in case:

It seems Houston FAWTLyers have taken over FAWTLy for now. This morning FAWTLy, tomorrow ... oh, look at the new AP over there.

Liberty's Edge Contributor

Morning, FAWTLies!

It's been too long since I've posted, here. Been spending too much time on FB for the past couple of days.

I wouldn't normally be up this early on a Sunday, but I had to take my folks to the airport at 5am.

Since I'm up, I'm thinking I'll get some writing done...but I need to update my Kingmaker PC, too. I just made 3rd level!

Putting this here as a placemarker.

I hope everyone's having a pleasant weekend. I'm off for a day of wine-tasting and picnicking at local wineries with friends. I hope today is as sunny and beautiful as the last two days have been!

Good news, taig!

I'll be checking out apartment options in the northwest during a visit up that way next month. I've seen no movement on a change of orders for me, so it looks like I'll be stationed up there without my family for almost 2 years.

On the bright side, it's closer to Paizo and a couple of other friends I have up there and it's a relatively short, and almost affordable, flight back down to San Diego, so I'll be able to see my family more often than if I was going overseas. Gotta look at the postive side of things, right?

Woke up in a sweat this morning because my fever broke. This means I get to go to work today and run tonight. It also means the danged illness ate my only day off this week and my prep time. Cursed bug!

Damn, now I know why I don't drink beer in large quantities. No hangover, just a different type of drunk. I buzz quick, sober quick, but come off as an ass for pretty much the entire night. I'll just stick with liquor from now on.

Heh. The opposite for me. I'm safer with the malts rather than the liquor.

Spoiler:
There is waaaaay tooooo many x0th anniversaries this year with people freaking out because things never go according to plan and so-and-so isn't in the loop and so-and-so's feelings are hurt because their ideas weren't taken into account. Blergh.

I say this with the dread that my 40th will arrive near year's end. I've adamantly put my foot down in declaration that I will not be burdened with such.

And in other news, we're supposed to be attending a family wedding that's set in San Diego for Sat Oct 22nd. We're supposed to fly out on a Wednesday and return on a Sunday. My lack of a reaction is met with disapproval. "Uh, I could be in school or may have a job by then." "Well, you should pick up web-only courses that quarter and express a condition of hire that you are scheduled off for those dates."

The irony of being said this as I haven't had much to show for myself in the past 14 months and suddenly this trip is more important? Then again, it'll be PAID for.

Definitely NOT winning.

People getting married always think it's really f%&!ing important for some reason.
Like....too f$$*ing important.
Like.....
"we're getting married New Year's Eve cos that's when we met....sorry if you all had plans, but now you're coming to our wedding.....hey, why's nobody at our wedding?"
Then, mysteriously, they're divorced in 2 years!
