facepalm
. . . .
I couldn't help it. I broke down. It was the most perverse of pleasures . . . .
I broke my streak and posted on a political thread.
And I had been getting on so well!!
It takes posting to them 5 or 6 times to come to the realization that:
(1) No matter how well-reasoned or reasonable you think your post is, it will be dissected, misinterpreted, and discarded, without accomplishing anything.
(2) If you are not among the "standard" set of political posters, your opinion is not worth discussion.
(3) There is no point in posting follow-ups.
So my usual tactic of, "Post once to state an opinion, post a second time to clarify the multitude of misinterpretations, then give up and walk away" made me somewhat happy.
Just not clicking there EVER made me even happier.
EDIT: And just not clicking there while nekkid? Priceless!

Are there naked people you'd like to see in political office?
I was going to point out Traci Lords, but apparently in spite of her "legitimate" film career, she never ran for office.
There's also this list, but it looks like Italy is the home of "former porn stars who actually get elected".
I am disappointed in the U.S. for not electing a single former porn star.
I am disappointed in the list in that no men are listed. Don't male porn stars ever run for office? Or are they just put out to pasture, wandering aimlessly through the green hills in their overalls with no shirts, chewing their cud?
(Sorry... the image popped into my head and I HAD to share...)

As for DII, for me it was (in order of favor):
- necromancer
- amazon, paladin, and/or sorceress
- druid
- assassin and/or barbarianI tried really hard to love the assassin. I really, really did. I thought it would be a favorite class, and it seemed like it should have been. It... it wasn't.
In my play-throughs, sorceress and paladin were, by far, the most powerful. Necromancer was awesome, and it always seemed like it should have been the best, but it never quite lived up to its own potential - I mean, I won, yeah, but still.
Amazon, druid, and barbarian were pretty easy, but I didn't really take to the last - probably aesthetic reasons more than anything else.
Oh the necromancer is scary powerful. By far the most dangerous of all the classes. My ex boyfriend filled his inventory with skeleton mastery tokens and then let his pretty much immune to everything skeleton hoard kill everything on the board. He beat Baal on the highest difficulty while making lunch... though Baal did kill a couple skeletons before he died. He dominated PvP since no one could defeat his hoard. But even he never beat the game with an assassin or a sorceress. I did it with a sorceress... but it was really hard since half the monsters on any level were immune to any damage you relied on. I had to run past the immune ones to get objectives before dying... crazy hard.
And don't get me started on how broken his druid was. He could dual wield those same weapons all the OP paladins were wielding and do more than 5 times the DPS with them through some kind of shape changing trick. And how did he defeat the game with the weakest class in the game (the Bowazon)? He found a top level bow that could unerringly shoot enemies that weren't even on the screen yet.

I found that the enemies were always immune to any one trick of the sorceress, but she always had so many that it didn't matter; meanwhile, my necromancy minions just were mowed down like chaff, I dunno how your ex did that.
I mean, I beat the game legitimately with the necro, but it was usually a combination golem and curses. Also a healthy dose of cowardice. Nothing else lasted long enough.
Later when I was given a ridiculous cheat modder by a friend I ran around with stupidly potent stats but even then not even the revenants were as tough as they really needed to be to take on big D, much less his later brother. That mountain was mostly just a re-slaughter ground.
The Druid was always powerful - I just probably never used it to its full potential. I always enjoyed playing the Amazon more than the Amazon was awesome. It was better than the assassin, at least (not saying much, but still). Also, I tended to get good bow and javelin drops. That helps. By now I don't really remember everything from that game anymore - it's been too long, and time colors all memories, as it's wont to do, but that's how I recall it: always wanting to like the assassin more, never quite getting there, and never enjoying the barbarian despite its distinct power advantage compared to some others.
But I know my sorceresses and Paladins were my most powerful/easy runs by far, sans cheating.

male porn stars make very little money unless they are willing to/ actually do enjoy the company of their fellows and are rapidly pasteurized because of the high turnover rate. That said, making porn is hard work, moreso than most realize. The body waxing alone...

Anyway: Taekwondo has a nes student! Who's an old student! Or at least about to hit middle age! And used to be a green belt years ago, but isn't now! Either way he's fat! He's me!
puts original Zelda ii into tacticslion, turns him on, searches for controller, television
Man, I could go for some nachos right about now...

You might better luck looking under, unfortunately, male "adult film actor" rather than male porn star -_-

I don't like Bob's Burgers... I don't hate it. The episodes are just a waste of time in my opinion. I reserve my hate for shows truly deserving of it like Death Note. A show should accomplish something like making you feel an emotion or being a thoughtful reflection of something else. Bob's Burgers fails on all counts.
The live action Death Note was better than the anime IMHO. Two disks and much more compact while STILL having a good storyline.

The Pyro actually has a special infusion that lets them bring down fire resistance, but not immunity. However, what I found brilliant about that class' design is that right when you're fighting things that are going to be flat-out immune to whatever you throw at it, you get your secondary element.
Of course, that can be pretty much be circumvented by a Toph (geokineticist) build, so that's why I always roll a geo whenever I make a kineticist.

We have a Pyrokineticist (Tiny T-Rex) and a Hydrokineticist (Pea Bear), both with interweave composite blast at first level. I was just wondering for when he, or she wants to solo things.
But yes, awesome class. Is there a magic item that makes it say count as electricity or something else.
They are plucky young siblings (The Yoon Effect).
I don't anticipate it being a huge problem, just curious as I have an afternoon cup of coffee, after banishing the kids outside. :-)

That's pretty much what Aaron Shock is doing. And I and many others would gladly have looked at him in the nude.

Loved D2, I beat hell difficulty with the sorceress before they patched in all those immunities for regular monsters. But yeah, it's clearly a digital descendant of D&D. Sooo uneven in so many ways!
I loved kicking monster mob butt and taking names as a necro...and then I cried when I got to a boss. Didn't even try fighting act bosses without a friend to take the heat.
And the sorceress...ah, the game's one class with the infinite mana skill! (Once you jacked it up, at least.) Like other classes, the skills are all over the place in power: One allows her to enchant her own (and only her own) weapon to deal a bit of fire damage -- because gish? -- and another allows her to freeze or annihilate everything on screen. ><(
Yeah, definitely D&D-style broken. I really ought to get around to D3 tho. I've owned it for about five years already...
EDIT: Oh, and what was with Duriel? Sooo much harder than Big D! It's like the devs were playing an old school D&D dungeon and said "You know what would make this featureless 10 by 10 room fun? An enormous slug-blade boss that freezes the PCs!!!"

Duriel was easy once you got his charge pattern down. But the Travincal Council post patch healed each other too quickly to solo unless you had enormous DPS or some trick to prevent healing.
The trick with the Necro was to focus on maxing out Skeletons then getting a TON of skill adds for it so you could run at about double max skill level then they have insane damage resistance.

Well, I just signed up for Blue Apron, with the ideas being that:
Anyway, first delivery is on Tuesday, September 27.
We'll see whether reality comes anywhere close to expectations...

Me: I am really in the mood for Cuban food, but I gotta do Taekwondo and then get to the new music place before they close and we can't get back across town to our nearby Cuban place before 6, when they close...
*arive at the new music place; find a Cuban place adjacent!*
Me: Huzzah!
*finish at the music place; head to the Cuban place; discover that they've closed and hour and a half ago*
>:(
EDIT: clarity and typo
Since I know everyone was on the edge of their seat, I figure Inshould mention: yes, I finally did get good, fresh Cuban food. We got so loaded up with it that we are still eating the left overs! Yay! (Though I did get more guava pastries from the freezer section of Publix to supplement the leftovers.)

Survived belt promotion. Woo. Three more months before I have to face the pain again. (It's really, really, really loud and the noise triggers massive vertigo. And I have to do my form through all that. Not a fun time.) Didn't fall over. Did get a little lost during line drills. We'll call that a success and move on.
