You don't have Aberzombie, Moorluck, and Solness as a friends on Facebook, do you? :P
xD No, I do not. :P Though I wouldn't be against adding FaWtL folk on the book of face. :) I assume they are also proud parents prolifically publishing parental posts?

Well, Lord President Moorluck recently posted Hello Kitty-themed photo...

This. Is. Awkward. Very. Awkward. Very. Very. Awkward. Terribly. Awkward. Even.

Not because of Hello Kitty, though. Because of the reasons that are not in the post itself.

Jury duty today. Waiting outside the court room now.

You should play >Car Wars< on your birthday.

Ug. What group number are you in?

I've heard the higher your group number the more likely you will be picked.

At least, that happened to me. I was in group #6.

I got picked for a domestic abuse case. The wife spent $60 on a hairdo, and the husband beat her bloody. Upon which she picked up a knife and went after him.

apparently, $60 was about a third of their monthly income.

anyways, there where eight groups of 12 people each, this day.
Groups 1-5 were released.

oh. and then I had to sit in the court room and stand up and introduce myself. ug.

The gas station no longer sells bread or cheese, which means I can no longer buy all of my groceries there. I don't know what to do with myself now.
Aren't gas station much more expensive when it comes to food that anywhere else?

In my neighborhood, not necessarily. I live in a bit of a food desert, and prices at the local supermarket have shot through the roof in the last two years. For example, a dozen eggs costs $2.50 at Mobil Food Mart, but I'd have to pay $4.00 if I bought them at the Tops right down the road. And I'd have to empty my bank account to afford vegetables that didn't come in a can.

Still very ill. Hoping to recover soon >.<

So Saturday's game went great. Our group ended up feeling surprisingly competent. And no one actually died. What more can you ask? ;P

Sunday on the other hand...well, apparently there was only so much good alloted for the weekend and it all got used up on Saturday. :/

Taking the GRE tomorrow (grad school entry exam, for those from not USA who call their tests differently).

Good times...

My wife and I's second anniversary is coming up, we are going to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and eat at a Mongolian grill style restaurant. After which we are going to exchange gifts we have spent months choosing and/or creating in secret.

I am quite excited!

Happy birthday, Icy!

Good luck on the GRE, Heath!

I hope jury duty goes OK for you, Tordek.

Congratulations on your second anniversary, Yuugasa!

Trying to figure out if the GRE is a bigger pain in the ass, less of a pain in the ass, about an equal pain in the ass, or if there is not enough info to tell if it is one of those than being impaled by Vlad Tepes on some sort of bill hook.

I hope I haven't missed too much in my absence. Still late on my freelance project, so I'll be catching up on that today.

The con went really well this weekend. We only had one or two tables, but everyone seemed to have a good time. I GMed two roleplay-heavy scenarios in a row, so my voice was gone. Rachel played two games on Sunday since she was still on German time, so it was afternoon/evening for her instead of morning/afternoon.

Wednesday we leave for Key West where I'll be best man at a friend's wedding. Then I don't have anything on the calendar until GenCon.

I'd imagine less, but admittedly I don't have experience with bill hooks.

I'm jealous. I love the keys. I hope you have a great time. If you have time, I strongly suggest taking a kayak your tour. Big Pine Kayak Adventures It's just down the road from the No Name Pub. Keep an eye out for the key deer if you visit.

Not selected for jury duty today. Figured as much since I was juror #78 of 81. They did get up to juror #39 for the final juror selected.

Glad I wasn't selected this time as it was not going to be a pleasant case to deliberate.

This is the second time I was in this judge's jury pool. Not surprisingly, he is a big advocate of people serving their duty on jury's.

He told us that trial by jury is one thing that separates us from the rest of the world and that this right is threatened by public apathy. He noted that the reason that there was only 6 jurors for the George Zimmerman trial is because the state of Florida had such a difficult time finding 12 jurors able to serve; they reduced the number to six. He noted that the constitution only says that we have a right to a trial by jury. It does not define the number of jurors.

In my county, Montgomery, 70% of people summoned for jury duty report. The overall average for the state of Texas is much worse, 40%.

I would have expected Texans to take their civic duty more seriously. Good for Montgomery county!

Please consider going to this thread and offering the Kobolds congratulations on their ENnie nominations.

Thanks! I think we'll have a little bit of time to do some exploring while we're there.

It's been over 20 years since I last visited. I imagine it's changed somewhat since then.

Good morning every-FaWtL. :) Hope everyone is well today and has a good one ahead of them. It was sunny when I logged on this morning, but it apparently turned cloudy while my back was turned. Ah well, no harm.
