He had a change in work responsibilities that severely limited his ability to be online. That situation was suppose to change earlier in June so he may be returning. I do miss AM BARBARIAN.

AM SORCERER IS GLAD TO HEAR GOOD NEWS.

Happy Father's Day

Again, deepest condolences.

Thanks everybody. Memorial's tomorrow. What's goes good with black?

Dark blue.

Actually - everything except pink works with black, but I guessed you were looking for something subdued.

Yard work complete - Now we get ready to unload pottery from a wood kiln. It's been cooling for about a week. Then there is good chance we will see Prometheus this evening. I'm enjoying the Father's day weekend. Hope everyone else is as well.

In Paizo Con news, I didn't sign up for many special events so I ended up with only one, "Project Swallowtail". I was hoping for the Mass Effect game with Wes and/or the Call of Cthulhu game with James but those were big long shots.

Urgh. So tired

Scarab Sages

The wife bought me three blurays. Two were from her.

The third was from Charlie - Kung Fu Panda. Only she meant it to be Kung Fu Panda 2. Only she forgot that she had previously gifted me with both 1 & 2. I think the boy is draining her intellect.

So, we returned that movie, and I picked up the Alien Anthology (all 4 movies on bluray + a s@&&load of extra stuff) for $40.

Also got a coffee mug and a t-shirt from the boy.

And I bought myself some books, some air filters for my furnace (good stuff), and a new table top band saw.

Jude is a big fan of the Kung-fu Panda movies, however Winnie the Pooh is the current favorite. Which is accompanied by him often saying "Wa wa wa Winne da Poooooh."

Good morning FAWTLY Folk. Happy Monday. It's a beautiful morning here in Philly - sunny and in the mid 50s.

And, apparently, it's "don't use your blinker while driving" day as well.

Typical Texas morning here. At least I'm not running around in it I suppose.

First time I saw one, I called my friend and told him we needed a truck and a forklift, so we could have a new screen for movie nights when deployed.

The Exchange

First one I saw was on the highway between Seattle and Tacoma, while on vacation. I come home and find two of them have gone up in my absence.

Grand Lodge

I think I was driving through Kentucky on leave when I saw that first one.

Two and a half hours until I can go shower and sleep. Seems like I'll be pulling duty a bit more frequently here.

It's always funny how I get nervous calling attention for field officers, which makes my voice appropriately loud.

Apartment hunting went well, found a couple places to follow up on in a few months.

Other than that, the weekend was pretty much just chilling out. What did I miss around here?

Sup?

Morning FAWTLy folk. At work after a quiet weekend, caffeine and breakfast all prepped and ready to go.

Looks to be a print-and-stack day.

Grand Lodge

Two weeks, and I should be on leave. Can't wait.

And then tonight, first session with the drunken Russian halfling!

looks around blearily

G'morning FAWTLfolk. Another week begins, another Hallmark Holiday(TM) is past, and I'm feeling remarkably grumpy this morning.

There's a guy who works in my library who has some serious mental challenges. I'm not sure what his job is, honestly, because I only ever see him wandering aimlessly around the building and saying one of three things: 1) "Do I make you laugh? I laugh all the time." (to anyone who's ever smiled at him) 2) "I hope your cough gets better." (to anyone who's ever coughed in his presence) and 3) "Whan are you having a party?" (to anyone who's ever invited him to a work social event)

Normally, I can tune him out, but he's on his third trip through my corner of cubicleland this morning, and I'm feeling a somewhat shameful urge to duct tape his mouth shut...

Duct Tape is like the Force - it has a light side, a dark side and it binds the universe together.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Silver Crusade

I had a pretty decent weekend. The weather was very nice, and I got to see some nice things at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Alright FAWTLy folk, time for me to be responsible and close the forums until lunchtime. See you all then. =)

He may respond positively to a gentle reminder that you are working right now and can't talk. It works for me all the time.

I have discovered that I can't abide the sound of someone eating yogurt or pudding out of those little cups. The sound of the spoon against the plastic container drives me to distraction, especially when they get to the end and they are scraping down the sides of the cup with short rapid movements. Am I the only one who feels this way?

GAH! Somebody is eating yogurt from a plastic cup...

How to read Egyptian Hieroglyphs (note - I have the non-revied version.)

The Timetables of History

Isn't e-bay wonderful? ~my wallet bites my rear end~ OWWWWW!!!!! Ok! Ok! So you do not like e-bay! ~grumbles~ Stupid wallet!

Actually, the price was very good. Under $30 for all of them with S & H.

I've actually tried that before without any luck. As far as I can tell, there's a really limited set of social interactions that he's been coached in (the conversations I quoted in my initial post), and anything outside of those just doesn't register.

Sorry to hear that, Lindisty. Unfortunately, some people are just "limited" in certain areas.

(I know that I have issues with social interation and have to watch myself even now. I have tried to learn, so my heart goes out to those who can't learn how to interact socially. ~grins~ Despite getting irritated at how annoying they are at times.)

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

I'm irritated! Or...wait...is that "irritating"?

Please don't use the Gold Bond Powder on me.

You are irritaingly irritating. ~grumbles~ "Weeeeee!!!" ~pulls out a baseball bat~ Next time I hear you say that...

Well, we finally completed Kingmaker yesterday. My Fighter11/Cavalier6 got taken down to 10 HP from 191 before the rest of the party won their fight. It was fun. Now we have a short respite before Wolfthulhu takes us through Rappan Athuk. I think I had better create a few backup PC's for that one.

It's big. You have to prioritize what you want to see there, because it would take several days to take it all in, I think. I like to just choose 2 or 3 exhibits and stick with that.

Are any of you FAWTLies fans of Dr. Who? I never watched the original series, or the reboot, until I happened to catch the first couple of episodes of the reboot on my local PBS station a couple of weeks ago. Then I discovered the series is available via Netflix streaming, and I seem to have gotten myself hooked. I've watched about half of the first season, and I have some observations:

Exterminate!:
1. Daleks are really very silly looking.
2. John Barrowman is one of the prettiest men I've ever seen.
3. They seem to spend an awful lot of time on earth, when (in theory) they have all of time and space to explore.
