It's kind of hard to like an animal that won't even f&$* to save it's species. I mean, geeze. F%~$ing is a base instinct. Would our world really be worse if they were extinct? I mean, they're kind of doing it to themselves at this point.
Not all animals find such things engaging. Maybe they're more into books.

Down here eating out is quite cheap and common practice. Many people have eschewed cooking for the convenience of eating out.
I've heard eating out in the States or in Europe can be a pricy affair though.
So as always, the answer is, "It depends on where you eat, and how healthy you want your meals to be."
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, one of the priciest markets in the U.S., if not the world.
Yet if I wanted my 3 meals a day from fast food places, I could easily survive on $15/day. On the other hand, at $450/month that's already higher than NobodysWife and my $300/month grocery budget when I was a poor grad student living in Davis. And the problem with U.S. fast food is that, instead of most countries where you'd pack the food full of cheap leafy green vegetables and rice to add substance at low cost, U.S. fast food is almost entirely protein, refined carbohydrates, and fat. A horrifically bad-for-you meal, but in the U.S., protein is cheaper than leafy greens, and almost as cheap as rice.
If I actually wanted to eat healthy, I'd have to search around a bit. Betty's on 4th street does a nice steel cut oatmeal breakfast with a side of fruit that would set me back around $12, including tax and tip. The Chinese places around here (surprise surprise) include a lot of vegetables in their meals, so I could get a very healthy lunch for another $12. Similarly, the Rendez-Vous cafe does a nice salad with seared tuna that I could probably get away with for $16, putting a good healthy 3 meals a day at $40, but we're up to $1200/month. Some people (*cough* *cough* Shiro *cough* *cough*) live this way, but that's people who live alone (Shiro does) and who make a decent salary for the area (OK. Shiro's a "C"-level executive, so he more than hits that mark.)
Then you get to "decadent eating" levels. Most restaurants around here will cost you $20 per person for lunch, and $30-$40 per person for dinner. Even our go-to "cheap date" dinner at Sushi 29 runs us around $180 for the four of us.
And the sky's the limit. At Rivoli we order ridiculous amounts of food, most people at the table have 2-3 drinks, we do full 4-course dinners, and then we tip 25-30%. So we've had nights at Rivoli at $75 per person, and we've had nights at $125 per person.
Sons and Daughters of San Francisco wasn't as good as Rivoli, but it was a 9-course meal and NobodysWife had the wine pairing add-on, so we hit $250 per person.
My personal all-time record is The French Laundry, an internationally-famous restaurant in the Napa Valley. Yes, it was the best food I've ever had. But at $500 per person, it better have been! (It was our 25th anniversary, so we had an excuse. But Napa is ludicrously expensive -- you could spend one weekend there and easily be out $10,000.)
And yet I work in the software industry and have watched sales guys trying to schmooze their customers with $3000 bottles of wine, $500 caviar, and other stuff I'd never be able to justify buying.
So the spectrum is enormous, from $15/day for cheapo food, to $40/day for good food, to $300-$400/day for "luxury food", to who-knows-what for places I don't even know exist because they're out of my price range.

As an addendum to the above: It can get relatively worse with food access if you live in one of the areas where there are not easy access to fresh vegetables. Driving to the nearest restaurant to get a good quality meal in my area can take up to two hours, depending on traffic. And since public transportation effectively doesn't exist in this area, every bit of that is gas I have to pay for.

I really don't have time to get into potentially asexual animals and their perceived special needs. There's like 7 of you in the world. Just f+**.

Breakfast host comes in at 5 to get things ready (we do a large breakfast) She did not come in till 6:30 yesterday So I had to run back and forth from getting breakfast ready and handling checkouts at the front desk.

My BF helped me finish my hearthstone dungeon run with a paladin deck. He's got a mean streak in him. He took the passive power that gave him all minions above 5 cost cost only 5 then happily packed his deck with lich kings and Ragnaroses.
I also crafted myself an arch mage Antonidas, thinking if I should go find space for 2 molten reflections in my deck to do endless fireball combo with sorcerers apprentices.

I ended deleting Idle Heroes from my tablet. It was crashing more and more, and when I reinstalled it, it asked me about password instead of being attached to my tablet google account (as it seemed to be) with no external password (that I could recall). Ah, well, it's not like I played it for months and gathered a lot of experience and characters...

Going to buy my first new car tomorrow. If things go relatively smoothly.
I've spent the last week pitting all the dealerships in Arizona against each other in a bidding war, I'll see if it pays off. One of them has already reneged on a low bid.
It paid off! My very first new car is a 2018 model that I got for a smokin' hot price!!!

We were finally able to play our Legacy of Fire campaign again for the first time since mid-November. When Whingey Wizzard asked, "Have we really not played since the 18th of last month?!?"
I said, "Yeah, because remember, Goth Bard had that thing, and then it was their anniversary, and..."
"No, I mean OUR game."
"Oh. Yeah. Probably."
Teensy Valeros has decided he wants to play Merisiel, the elf rogue, for a while and have me NPC Valeros. My daughter told me privately she is worried about him always leading the charge in combat and having bad dreams. This time I had him stay back and use a longbow.
Everything went pretty well, except for one irritating exchange with my wizard.
He had cast Proct. Evil for the combat, and insisted on holding his action and directing everyone else's maneuvers so that they could all move together to keep inside the circle.
My personal view was that combats don't work that way and that, with one character down and monsters engaged, it was more likely that people were going to do what needed to be done, and +2 AC be damned.
He said, "So you're not going to follow Pathfinder movement rules, then?"
Me: "No, I'm following the rules, I just think you're trying to impose unworkable strictures on the group."
He sulks off to the kitchen and starts doing dishes loudly until it's his turn.
Spoiler: We won anyway.

We’re having our annual New Year’s game night tonight. It’s a day early because some of our family and guests have to drive home on New Year’s Day. We’ll get to break out Bears vs. Babies for the first time.
That sounds awesome. We got three new games for Christmas this year:
Moose in the House (for the kids to play with grandma)Punderdome (for Whingey Wizzard)
Battle for Hogwards (because the kids are mad for all things Potter)
And we have already played them ALL.

I was asked for a spectate. I threw out the sorcerer's apprentice too early, it got bashed up...then I ended up with 2 molten reflections in my hand(Argh sheesh), and beating that poor sap to death with faceless summoner, his 3 cost minion and an ethereal conjurer.

LM - Protection from evil doesn't have a radius - maybe you're talking about magic circle against evil?
Eh. If I went to the trouble of setting magic circle against evil up, I'd expect party members to keep in circle as well. Its +2 AC, +2 saves, and most of all cannot be target of charms and compulsions from evil enemies. Could be a potential lifesaver when dealing with vampires and the ilk.

Depends on the level. It doesn't stack with a Ring of Protection nor Cloak of Resistance, so by the time you're 8th or 9th level the only thing it's protecting you from is mental domination. Which is still a Big Nice Thing.

Yes, Magic Circle, but for some reason I cannot edit posts at the moment.
The party is 6th level right now. But they honestly DID NOT NEED to be that cautious. They were up against a CR3 flamebrother salamander and a CR6 average salamander. Who, admittedly, had a magic spear that does both shock and fire damage, with which she managed to crit the red shirt npc with one hit, but it's not like our cleric didn't have Rebuke Death.IT'S A GAME, FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD, AND THE WIZZARD PLAYS LIKE AN OLD WOMAN.
Actually, I take that back. My great-grandmother is 95 and will still happily kick your ass at Rummikub and then gloat over the kill.

You and Nobody have the patience of saints to keep dealing with this guy after all the stories I hear about him.
I'm sure he's a perfectly nice guy outside of game, but in game every story I hear makes him sound like a conglomeration of the worst players I've ever had to deal with.

I'm afraid that's pretty much the size of it: He's generally a good guy, but the moment gaming is involved he turns into one of the worst players imaginable. So we did the logical thing and stopped gaming with him. Unfortunately, that meant that lisamarlene couldn't play, either, which is a pretty messed-up thing to do. So I took the hit on her behalf and ran one last AP for her, and he got to come along, being married to her and all. But the wear-and-tear of having run at least 2 sessions a week (and usually 3) since 2011 has really taken its toll on me, so I need a couple of years off. Unfortunately, the other GMs in the group are less tolerant, so the future of Whingey and LM's gaming is bleak. And that is really, really, really unfair to her.
But after one more campaign of, "I want everything for free, and I want to be able to screw over everyone with no repercussions. Plus I want to argue the rules and slow every combat to a crawl," it's clear he's irredeemable as a gamer.
But kicking him to the curb means kicking LM as well, and I value friendships more than I value gaming. (Of course, considering I have to GM almost every game in which I participate, there may be some "work bias" in there as well.)

I'm guessing "She can play, you can't" is not an option for some reason?
Nevermind, I somehow missed this sentence:
Unfortunately, that meant that lisamarlene couldn't play, either, which is a pretty messed-up thing to do.
... am I reading this correctly? You told him you didn't want to game with him and he decided that meant she couldn't play either? Because if that's so, I may have to revise my opinion on him as a "decent person" out of game.

captain yesterday |

I'm grateful that Cyz and I don't have that issue. If I want to game and she doesn't, we work our schedules to allow that. She has plenty of things to do while I'm out, so it works. And I am perfectly content to be a bump on a log at home while she's out doing what she wants.
We are the same way.

I've been booted out of a game that my ex-wife (at the time fiance) wasn't. She reacted like you would imagine - a much less profane version of "are you s$@#ting me?"
The one time I had to do it - telling a woman that had been in our group for a while that her boyfriend was by no means ever welcome at our table again - she took it very well and completely understood, and apologized profusely for his behavior. She continued playing with us for a couple more years before the group fell apart due to people moving away.
