Here's to holding tempers, holding tongues, and speaking calmly when needed.
So far, the drama died down. Praying it continues this way.

Bad news. I'm not used to riding bikes, and the apartment complex doesn't have a bike rack.
the muscles take time to build, I know. Watch for charliehorses, they can be a killer if you arent used to stretching your legs that far. Adjust your seat height as best as possible until you find a level of leg extension that works for you.

He is my close personal friend. Also a good friend of one of my players in my Darklight Sisterhood game. He flirted with her mom so bad...

Huzzah?
Long and short of it: I'm not sure I want to be at the school I visited. I hear they may use social promotion to advance students through the math programs (i.e. nobody can fail). Also, I was really hoping to teach at either my alma mater or the school I did my student teaching at. This school happens to be at the opposite end of town, almost a 30 minute drive. (Considering most places are only 15 minutes, it's a far drive.)
It's not my last choice, but it's close.
Time to investigate whether there may be openings at the other schools for January.

Ugh, social promotion. We do things like this and then wonder why our graduates aren't at the level we want them to be.

Math is one subject that it just DOES NOT WORK in any way. If you don't understand the prior class/theories, you'll only get more lost in the harder ones.

A guy at my game last night had an interesting story to share. He got fired from a large farm supply company last year. He said his boss hated him for not kissing his ass, while his underlings hated him for making them work instead of sitting on their asses all day. So when end of season inventory showed 50 bags of seed were missing, he got blamed for it and was canned. A friend who still works there called him last night and said that they just did an inventory last week and the following items are missing/unaccounted for:
700 bags of seed corn (worth $280k-$300k)
400 bags of seed soybean (worth $200k)
20 pallets of insecticide (50 units per pallet, didn't specify worth)
No one knows where any of this stuff got off too. Several people remember loading the insecticide into trucks, but there is no paperwork to show where it went or if anyone paid for it. Same goes for all the seed. Don't know who has it or if they paid. Over a half-million dollars of inventory just gone.
He was laughing his ass off all night.

About 13 years ago, a little while after we lost our Siamese cat, Blue, my wife and I went to the animal shelter and picked out two cats. We took our (at the time) young children to the shelter to see the cats, and they ended up choosing two entirely different cats, and those two cats went home with us instead, of course. One of the cats, Wolfie, was a gentle and loving kitty, and she had a pretty good life with us I think.
Today we had to put her to sleep because of congestive heart failure.
Goodbye, Wolfie. May your travels take you someplace sunny and warm.
Condolences on the loss of Wolfie. Sounds like she had a good and happy life, and brought lots of happiness to your little ones too. Such memories are a worthy testament to a life well lived.
