I'm just lucky I don't have much at all that will need moving when I do. No furniture; that's going to be an expense after a couple of months.I'm sorry for the lack of furniture, and I hope you acquire some quickly for a good price!
Have you checked junk sales and such?
I have not yet, but I don't want to start poking around at too much stuff until I'm confirmed able to move. If I don't this month, I won't have any place to store stuff here.
My dad's offered to loan me an inflatable mattress for a bit when I do first move, and I have a desk being held by a friend for me, so that'll cover the basic necessities for a while. I can pick up what I can find/afford from there a bit at a time.
Sounds like it's going to be an interesting move. I hope you have enough furniture for it. And that the appliances all work. I hate moving in a place to discover I'm short a couch and the only working appliance is the microwave.Small apartment, and parents are going to help.Aside from the eternity on 2-lane rural highways? Landlord seemed like a really nice guy, and the places (saw multiple units by the same company) looked to be well-maintained. Worst case, there is actually a convenient Walmart.

Not sure I mentioned this, but I found out during the week that my older brother here in Houston is moving to Dallas. His wife got a promotion and transfer. Not sure when, but it'll be a little while before they go.
So now, in preparation for selling their house and moving, he's giving me his old work bench, since he's not sure he'll have space to keep it.
Huzzah for me! But it still sucks to see them go. Especially to Dallas.

( well, beside Abby from NCIS, the Redshirt and Lara Croft, and the last one only because you have to live under a rock to not recognize Lara Croft, I have never played the game)
