So this Saturday I'm going to probably be play-testing a wargame that a friend has written...
But darn it, this weekend is the Viking festival in York. One friend was possibly planning on going there for shopping (and drinking) before her husband gets home from overseas. And then there's Old Corpse Road playing at a pub in the city centre too, however last train home is 10pm.

Can you maybe LARP the wargame at the Viking festival?

Is there any market for pinky toe transplants? (other than the obvious)
'Cause I'll donate both of mine. All I do with them now is smash them into some floor-bound object once or twice a week... so it's likely I'm just gonna accidentally snap one or both off before much longer anyway. And maybe with them gone, it'll be easier to wear fancy shoes.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about the toe mishaps.

Ouch! I hope that you stop banging it soon! That must hurt...

Actually my nail grows into the sides of the toe, not separates from nail bed. I will survive the next month and half, somehow.

Gah. I feel your pain.
Well, my pain actually. Stupid chair.

That's not good. Make sure you wash your feet very carefully until you can get it looked at or it can turn properly nasty.

Nah, I lived through it multiple times in my life. Usually I solved it with scissors and a bit of disinfectant.

Do we have any undiscovered Midgard fiction writers among the FaWTLies?

Last thing to share before I go to bed - remember earlier when I had said I was going to be editing QUILTBAG erotica? The company liked my work so much they want me to become one of their editors full time. I'm not going to be able to quit any of my jobs, but I'm getting another contract to back for the third job with better pay and benefits as a full editor.
I'm happy. Very happy. Also a little drunk.

Tomorrow, I should begin putting up details of the campaign setting my group used and currently uses. It should be interesting to include with Pathfinder, given some of the variants we came up with.
It also includes a lot of magic items as well as a variant form of tattoo magic. And variants of things like potions, scrolls, etc.
I'm also working on adapting the alternate spellbook construction rules that 3.5 had. I think it was in Ultimate Magic...
And, actually, managed to get a workable adaptation of the wild mage going, so that means I will adapt it and various wild magic spells.
The gods will be interesting to adapt...
I'm also not certain if I should adapt the runic spell system we devised. It was more than a little overpowered, but that was kinda the point; a person traded a lot of flexibility for being extremely powerful in a few key areas.
