Why would I want to cover that up. Maybe use some makeup to help it be even more glorious?

Pawn shop, no. Thrift store, not in a very long time. And in either case I wouldn't have been looking for makeup.

Old video games and CD's.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Haven't bought a CD in a long freaking time. Used games? 7 or 8 years, and just got them at Gamestop. Or, back in college, there was a store in town that sold SNES games, and I bought one there. It was Super Street Fighter 2 (or Turbo, something like that).

1 person marked this as a favorite.

me either but I haven't been in a thrift store in about that long too.

I won't touch Gamestop though had a friend work their and I got a glimpse into how they treat their employees and frankly I'm disappointed they didn't go out of business.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I think I've bought 3 games at Gamestop. The last one was probably 12 or 13 years ago. I don't play very many video games, and the last couple I've bought have been digital.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Oh, and it hasn't been quite as long as I thought it had since I've been to a thrift shop. I was thinking it was about 20 years, but it turns out it has only been around 10 years. My brother was looking for a computer desk, and I happened to be with him, so we went to Goodwill and the Salvation Army. Neither of them had anything that interested him. I think we spent about 3 minutes in the first one, and maybe 10 in the second.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I play a ton of video games (heck I stream a ton of video games) but I go for digital copies now a days.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I think I have maybe 15 games from the XBOX 360 through the XBOX 1. A couple were gifts that I hardly ever played (My brother got me a FIFA game because he wanted to play it. I played a bit, but not much. Mainly only if we went head-to-head.). I suppose it's technically more than that, since I am only counting the Halo Master Chief Collection as one game. I should probably play that some more. I beat Halo 1 and 2, and started 3. But I don't really like FPS games, so I got bored and quit.

Games I have (that I can remember off the top of my head):

FIFA something or other
Prey (the original, not the remake. It made me motion sick so I quit playing)
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (technically an original XBOX game, but it ran on the 360 and I think on the XBONE)
Chromehounds
Assassin's Creed
Assassin's Creed 2
Elder Scrolls Oblivion
Elder Scrolls Skyrim (twice. once for the 360, then a digital copy with al the expansions for the XBONE)
Minecraft
Stardew Valley
Halo Master Chief Collection
Burger King Pocket Bike Racers (my parents got it for me as a joke, but it was actually a decent little Mario Kart type game)

I think there are 1 or 2 more that I can't remember. I could look when I get home, but I doubt any of you (or me, for that matter) care enough to make it worth the time.

Did you play the newer reboot of God of War (that came out a couple of years ago) or the old school version?

If you haven't played the new one I highly recommend it.

I think I played fall out 3 on 360 as well. I remember being lost in dark radioactive dungeons for long periods of time so that sounds right.

Old school but the new one is on my list.

Fallout 3 holds a special place in my heart, it was the first Fallout game I got and I had an absolute blast! Especially weaponizing industrial tools in The Pitt.

As far as story goes I will agree with everyone that Fallout New Vegas is the best Fallout, especially the beginning when it pans out from the strip and then when you're left for dead. Best video game intro ever.

It's part of the greatest hits collection that are only 20 now, which is why I got it.

Fair warning, if you play it enough you'll start calling everyone "boy" in a gruff voice.

I tried playing Kingmaker, once.

I made my character, went through all the options and then when I got to my first fight it hung up and I was forced to do it ALL over again. I did not.

kingmaker didn't play well on my laptop It kept crashing but I have it on steam so I think it was a humble bundle. so when I get a new computer I will give it another go. It reminds me of Baldurs gates.

I'm not 100% satisfied with Kingmaker. Did NOT like the timer aspect of the first part of the game, and pointed out how foolish it was to have something like that in an EXPLORATION BASED GAME FOR GODS SAKE, and had a game where time would run out for me literally ONE MOVEMENT SPACE away from the supposed goal. There were so many issues with sleeping/resting and healing it wasn't funny. May just uninstall and not look back.

Oh, I f@%~ing hate timers! I thought they stopped putting those in video games that didn't involve racing, football, or basketball.

And yes, it's absolutely ridiculous for a supposed open world exploration rpg to have one.
