So we've been trying to get the sneke to eat for like a month and a half now. We tried frozen rats no go so she bought a live rat. 2 weeks now and he's not hungry. So I guess we have a pet rat now too.
If you decide to keep the rat as a pet, get him/her a buddy. Rats are highly social creatures and will get depressed without a cagemate.

Yeah my S.O. was saying something like that. She has been getting it out and playing with it a lot already. We might have to change its name from snack...
Yeah. Its very hard to substitute for another rat. Playing a lot is good, as they are smart and need something to do. But you'd have to carry the rat with you the whole day to come close to replacing another rat.
They also need quite a bit of space. Hamster/mice/guineapig cages generally dont cut it. Luckilky, they dont mind how their space is orientated. They easily go vertical (where for aninmals like rabbits/gineapigs you need horizontal space), so a parrot cage with platous works just as well.

I find that fascinating about rats. So social!

That might have been weird.

make no mistake, I LOVE laser tag. I am a huge fan of that as well as photon(which I believe had better technology, I cant remember). But paintballs hurt and can easily put someone's eye out.

Depends if they give you a cake to celebrate.
MrT recently celebrated 12 years at his job.
LOL. GothBard works for a gaming company. She gets all kinds of cool gifts. Even when they "just" won the Halloween costume contest this year, they each got a $50 gift certificate.
In 19 years in tech, my grand total rewards have been:
(1) A pen
(2) A watch
(3) An extra week of vacation (from 13 days a year to 18)
Yeah, employee recognition just isn't a "thing" in my industry...

And since it's now only a month away, here's our schedule for those as would like to try to meet up with us in Europe:
July 8-11: London, England. Other than high tea at the Ritz on the 11th, an open schedule
July 12: A quick tour of Edinburgh, Scotland thanks to a scheduling mix-up
July 13-14: Another quick tour of Inverness, Scotland
July 15-16: Highland games in Inverary, Scotland
July 17: Back to Edinburgh, because we love it and messed up a bit
July 18-20: Paris, France
July 21-22: Amsterdam, the Netherlands
July 23-25: Copenhagen, Denmark
PM me if you want to try to meet up and I'll send GothBard's contact information, since apparently neither my phone nor Impus Major's will work there.

Current company:
When I started I saw people with plaques with their years of service on them. One year anniversary got you the plaque, and it had a paper certificate inside that could be taken out and updated with "anniversary stickers", and you got a new certificate every 5 years.
When I got to my one year anniversary, I was given a certificate. No plaque.
At my 2 year anniversary I didn't even get the sticker.
At my 5 year anniversary I didn't even get a mention in the newsletter.
I'm not entirely sure if I'm actually employed by this company anymore and payroll just hasn't noticed.

Edit: definitely not the LGBTQ+ thread, they only have 17,000+ posts, so it's gotta be succubus in a grapple.
!!!!! O.o
Okay, I knew my game was kinda massive, but, honestly hadn’t realized it was that many posts! :D
Huh - our little game (sort of) made it into a trivia contest? At PaizoCon, no less?
I think that's something to be proud of... ;)[waves like a nut]

So, why does my house cost 1.5x as much as a MUCH bigger house in Walnut Creek?
Current temperature in Albany, west of the coastal "range": 74° F
Current temperature in Walnut Creek, 20 miles east but over the coastal "range": 92° F
Impus Major is going to plotz when we do the 40-minute drive and he's suddenly dying of heat stroke.
Fortunately, he still only weighs 110 lb. Maybe he'll survive...
EDIT: And for those of you wondering about the quotes around "range", we have a series of hills that run along the coast that top out at anywhere between 800 and 1500 feet. The really noticeable peaks such as Mount Tamalpais hit a "whopping" 2572'.
Then you head east for a couple of hours and hit the Sierras, where the lowest pass you can find to get through is around 8000', and if you want to camp at 11,000' you can find a multitude of sites up and down the range. So to me, anything under 5000' really doesn't deserve the name, "Mountain".

You're clearly in the wrong company.
MrT works IT in the financial sector. He gets a gift certificate for his birthday and for christmas.
For his 12,5 years at the company, they bought cake for him and his department, got him an insanely large bouquet of flowers and got him a synthesizer (as his hobby is making electronic music).
In my old company, which I was a part of for 6 years, you got a small gift for your bithday. Like a creditcard sized multitool, a travel mug and a box of chocolates.
For christmas we got all kids of gifts. I got remote controlled ball, a little flying drone, a camera (like a go-pro, just a different brand).
Both MrT's company and my company are big. MrT's might be a rival for your GlobalMegaCorp.
Now that I joined a small company, I did not recieve a birthday gift.

Since I don't have to look professional and grown-up for the summer and I need to cover my grey anyhow, I'm thinking of doing a semi-permanent navy blue or aquamarine over the brunette. Because why not?
Do eet!!!! Mermaid hair is great! I use Pravana. It's very rich color, but has to be touched up weekly, and that's on my blondish hair. But it doesn't get all over everything like Manic Panic, so there's that
