I am attempting to write the stupidest thing I can manage.
I've created a recurring NPC wannabe author for my NWN server...to replace the other terrible author NPC I got bored with. She is dramatizing the circumstances of her rescue in prose so purple I've caught myself trying to tone it down from shame.
The reason she needed rescuing?

Hello.
I am extremely popular with the kids at my new work. They already want to try me out as lead afternoon preschool teacher.
I spent the afternoon finger-painting. I don't care if the money sucks. I'm getting paid to make paper airplanes and help kids color them to learn hand-eye coordination and dexterity while recognizing directions...
...but mostly I'm paid to lift four year olds high enough to get the planes to really fly far.

Prom Sponsor came in and asked the class president to suggest a song for the King and Queen dance. He didn't have an idea, so she left. We're now trying to compile a list of the worst options.

First off I'll defend "closer" (and the rest of "The Downward Spiral") to my last breath as a record that had a profund impact on a young Kjeldorn. I would have loved to have that played at my "high school dance" (aka Galla).

This is the first weekend this month I get to rest and relax, instead of working (like all three days of last weekend) or volunteering with Hermione's scout troop, like the two prior weekends. I am tired and just a little cranky.

I've been sick for the last three days with a stomach bug and eventual migraine. Today I'm at work. I'm not sure which one is the better deal.
Yesterday was Aiymi's birthday. Tonight, assuming I'm still ok, we're heading to The Highlands - a Scottish/Irish (mostly Scottish) steakhouse that's relatively in the middle of nowhere.
Hope you kick the bug (and migraine) Vany, so you can have a nice dinner (and well, be "well" again).

Petting the bearded dragon amd the snake was cool. Ive petted a bearded dragon before, but more petting is more better.
The snake was amazing. The difference between the scales at the top and the scales at their belly is amazing.
Meeting HMM was cool. I had met her before at paizocon 2017 when we gamed together. She didnt have purple hair. But she did have purple cat ear headband.
Y'know, it's really sad to me. I know that a lot of store-bought stuff is cheaply-made, mass-produced, and designed to be a quick-and-easy-and-inexpensive replacement for something that's harder for you to make yourself.
Bisquik comes to mind: If you make it with water as instructed, you get pancakes or waffles that are technically edible, as long as you have enough syrup. If you use milk, butter, and eggs, you ask, "Why did I need a mix again?", but they reach the, "Not bad, but I could do better," plateau.
But you'd think there would be something you could get that would be better than you could make yourself.
I needed some Cajun seasoning to season the red beans and rice I'm making for dinner tonight. I grabbed a recipe off AllRecipes.com and mixed together some of our ancient herbs and spices (some at least 10 years old), found that I was out of cayenne pepper (kind of important in Cajun cuisine), and decided to see whether I could use one of the many bottles of store-bought stuff people have gotten me over the years.
It was pathetic. My decrepit, "These herbs should have been thrown away when Impus Minor was still in diapers" mixture was so much richer, more aromatic, and more flavorful than any of the store-bought bottles that I had to sigh, toodle over to the corner store, and pick up some fresh cayenne.
I'd just like to think that somewhere, out there, is store-bought food that's at least comparable to homemade. Is that too much to ask?
How to tell that you might possibly not have gotten enough sleep the night before:
You go into the kitchen, notice the cat food bowl is empty, as is the cat food bin, so you open a brand-new bag and smell the strongly-flavor-coated nuggets, pour them into the food bowl...
...and are surprised when your kids don't pop out of bed and run in to snarf down the excellent brand-new chow.Yes. My kids. For whatever reason, my brain was expecting Impus Major and Impus Minor to pop out of bed and run over to the food bowl and start chowing down.
Have your other kid(s) (you have two? calico and the derp one? or are those one and the same?) appear for chow?

Sorry the order of all this is going to be all over the place. Because I just got back from shopping in IKEA with my aunt. Was trying to move both PBPs, one before I went volunteering for Park run, the other while I was in the middle of my marshal duties.
This is the first weekend this month I get to rest and relax, instead of working (like all three days of last weekend) or volunteering with Hermione's scout troop, like the two prior weekends. I am tired and just a little cranky.
Yeah having some relax time all to yourself is good. All work and no play make anyone upset.

Did the bearded dragon or snake twitch when you petted them? And are the scales on top of the snake tougher and harder then those at the belly? How did you manage to get it to reveal its soft underbelly to you?

I'm thinking philys tonight. Get a rib-eye season it up pepper, onions, and mushrooms, add some melted raclette cheese if I can find any. make it extra special. I think I have some pepperonis somewhere too just to top it off.
