And I've hit that time in life where you have to decide if a parent lives on for another 5d4 years or goes into hospice care, knowing that the random number of years left will be filled with anger, pain, resentment, and depression.
Dad passed away about 30 minutes ago.
Please accept my condolence to you and the rest of your family Vany.
We here for you, if you feel that there anything we can do, to help you through you're (and your family's) time of morning.*Offers hugs and back pats*

Do'h!
You're right...
Sorry for the atrocious spelling Vany. Please read my post with an extra "u".

It was raining the better part of the morning so I went down to the gym and went for the Grit Strength class. It's supposed to burn 500 calories for 30 min workout, then after the end of it I went for 10 min of jogging on the treadmill at 9km/h. Just to get my daily exercise quota before going back to being a couch potato.
Lifting 3.5 kg on each side of the barbell is heavy! Also I found out a rock climbing wall has been set up at one of the shopping malls that are near my aunts place. Should I sign up for rock climbing classes? It's $42 for the beginners start up course?
Also, I missed a chance to pick up kayaking on my company retreat. Should've brought a spare set of clothes to change into. But I don't think I'm any good at it anyway.

I think I'd shovel snow halfway and flop flat. LOL. Me ish wimpy when it comes to arm strength. Is the snow new or has it hardened. Hardened snow = PITA.
My super-secret technique for hard-packed snow and ice is to throw a few handfuls of ice melt on it, wait 10 minutes, and then go at it with a scraper.

We're out of our house until Monday for electrical work (finally putting outlets in the bathrooms, for one thing, and making it so the living room ceiling light gets connected to a wall switch, and some other boring stuff.)
It's been planned since we moved in three months ago, but since we knew that (a) our landlord would have to pay for a hotel anyway, and (b) Hermione's godmother was having her *Texas* wedding reception this weekend (yes, the wedding was three months ago in California, but she married a gal from Lubbock, so they're having a party here, too. They also had one earlier this fall in Pittsburgh), we asked if we could delay the work until now.
I picked the hotels based on three factors: (1) quality of the free breakfast, (2) indoor pool, and (3) under the landlord's spending limit. I got all three for Lubbock. For the hotel here in Dallas the second night, we've still got 2 and 3, but the breakfast is going to be lame.
Monday the kids are spending their first day of vacation with Whingey's dad and stepmom, and I'm going to clean and reorganize my garage and find my flannel sheets, kitchen knives, and Christmas decos. Which won't go up until the first Sunday of Advent, but that's two weeks from tomorrow.

Well LM, I don't think it can be lamer then ours buying subs from Walmart or Costco or having cornflakes with milk..while we were in US. We tend to start off very early and weren't sure if the breakfast would be ready for us yet, so opted to just eat in the room. Also to save costs, so we could go for cheaper hotels.
Sounds like a chaotic time getting your house together. More things I can look forward to in the future >.<

I think in valkyria chronicles 4 I have found the game that would like to have fawtl be in. There are enough classes to represent everyone, and they have FINALLY returned to the main character being the tank commander. Potentials are both positive and negative to reflect personalities, and the leveling up is MUCH easier than in earlier games.

New guy is trying to figure out how old I am by referencing social media apps and asking how old my kids are.
"That's not relevant" I said to the latter.
Just start texting me the questions, I'll answer them all, and he'll say, "According to this you're 81!"
It'll be hilarious.
Except I won't be anywhere near my phone all day.
Note to FaWtLers: If you ever get my cell phone number, it won't do you any good. As I told my manager, "All my friends know I never answer it and I only check it once a day for texts, so using my phone is a sign that you don't know me very well."
The *only* time I carry my phone is when I'm out of the house, and even then I forget it more than half the time. Or when I'm chaperoning, at which point it's glued to me in case of emergencies.

What are the classes?
Today, I went to a sort of illuminated parade thing in a nearby town with ALL (DE) and her kids, which was a nice thing to do of a winter's evening.
And Mort, you should definitely do the climbing.

Get her finger prints and we'll use them to go on a crime spree and frame her!
Or use them to break into Avenger Headquarters and steal schematics to Tony Stark's latest Iron Man suit.
We'll let the fingerprint decide.
Either way, it'll be the perfect crime!

well,in this one, the classes are...
Scout- high move, modest attack and hit points, the eyes of your force
Shocktrooper- modest move, high attack and hit points, the legbreakers of your force
Engineer- high move, modest attack, meh hit points, they can repair and heal better than any other class(although anyone can throw back a potion)
Lancer- meh move, outstanding attack and hit points, these are anti tank rocket launcher troopers
Grenadier- modest move, outstanding attack and modest hit points, these are shelling troops, but they have no way of defending themselves when attacked directly.

So, I work for a company that directly competes with Amazon for cloud-based services.
Seeing Amazon completely unable to manage their own shipping business makes me feel better about my own company's software's massive shortcomings.
We have ordered a slew of air purifiers, both from Costco and from Amazon.
Amazon's communications have been... mildly contradictory:
Thursday: Your order's in! You'll get the air purifiers on Saturday!
Later on Thursday: Oops! Due to the fires, shipping in California is all messed up. Expect your package to be late! Use Amazon's tracking site to find out when it will really arrive.
Amazon's Tracking Site: Your package will arrive on Saturday, as scheduled.
Friday: Amazon's Tracking Site: Your package will arrive on Saturday, as scheduled.
Saturday Morning: Amazon's Tracking Site: Your package will arrive on Saturday, as scheduled. In fact, it arrived in Newark (about a 30-minute drive from our house) at 4:00 am. Everything's fine!
Saturday at Noon: Amazon's Tracking Site: Your package will arrive on Saturday, as scheduled.
Saturday at 2:00 pm: Amazon: Oops! Your order's been delayed! Check the tracking site!
Amazon's Tracking Site: OK. We screwed up. We have no idea when your package is arriving. Contact us on Wednesday if you haven't gotten it by then.
So, I understand that the boots on the ground don't always march to the whim of the software, but you would think that at some point between Thursday and Saturday someone would have said, "This shipping facility is having issues; push all the days out by a bit."
Looking forward to a package that would help us breathe and having it vanish at the last minute was... frustrating...
