So, going through Aiymi's medical records, we found something alarming. We were told the wrong information about what she had.
Yes, she had the TIA. Not debatable.
No, she did not have Influenza B. The person on the phone was being sloppy. She tested positive for hemophilus influenzae beta, or Hib, which despite its name, is not actually related to influenza at all. It is a bacteria, hence their augmentin prescription, which is actually the exact right thing, but this stuff is potentially deadly (meningitis is an actual symptom of this crap). It's also considered 99% wiped out in the US. It can cause permanent hearing loss. It can cause permanent cognitive function loss.
We're ok, but we're really pissed. This should have been caught much earlier than it was (they did throat swabs, which they did NOT send off for culture...

The problem is that if you started sueing,if I don't remember wrong was that what you can claim is only to what damages you suffered. And it's not about emotional suffering and all that since the courts don't rank those much.
Also the courts tend to side the doctors(though it is slowly changing) since they don't want to encourage too many people suing medical practitioners less there become none of them.

Clarifications:
At ER visit 1, they barely did any testing at all beyond a contrast CT, because she was complaining of severe abdominal pain. She also wasn't nearly as bad at ER visit 1 as she was at 2.
At ER visit 2, they did influenza swabs, they did all sorts of tests that kept coming up negative. It's at this point that I believe those swabs should have been sent off for culture since they still had no idea what the almighty F was wrong with her.
At ER visit 2 is when they admitted her to the hospital. She was there from Wednesday night until late Friday afternoon. Still didn't culture anything.
It wasn't until a follow-up visit to the after-hours clinic after the hospitalization that someone did a strep test (!!!!!!), knowing it would be negative, but did it just so they could have the swab to send in for a culture.
And yet...when they have the results right in front of them...the person on the phone completely whiffs on telling us what Aiymi actually has (and I had contracted as well).
We were treated correctly damn near by accident.

In the US, it's more the opposite. Doctors have to pay huge malpractice insurance premiums because of our overly litigious society suing doctors over things that aren't malpractice, but it's cheaper and easier to settle out of court and have the payouts come from the insurance companies than it is to actually defend yourself in court as a doctor.
One of my first cousins is an ER doctor (he can't treat us for ethical reasons, and he's not in the same hospital system our insurance supposedly covers).
Oh, did I mention that our insurance company has suddenly decided that our hospital is out of network? Even though it isn't? And hasn't been? And that we went to the ER not because of dangerously high blood pressure, low oxygen stats, and an altered mental state, but because of a cough? Yep. That's what we were told by the insurance company. I took her to the ER because she had a cough, which the insurance company doesn't consider an emergency, and since they magically decided the hospital is out of network, they're trying to not cover the entire 2nd ER trip and 2 day hospital stay. Don't mind the sudden distant screaming you can hear, but can't pinpoint the source of...
If you suddenly start seeing headlines out of Central Illinois about a man maiming 7-12 people in a local hospital with a tiki torch he bought at a nearby Walgreen's, you'll know why.

I sense they're trying to wiggle out of their responsibility of paying for the whole thing and you really need to fight with them, getting the hospital in question to give the exact reason on why you had Ayimi going to hospital.
Trying to wiggle out of a contract already signed,I seriously disapprove off. Take out your insurance policy and start arguing with them.
State which hospitals were in the contract you signed, then get the hospital to give the correct reason on why you sent Ayimi to hospital and get them to cough up.

I am glad you both are receiving effective medication, Vany. I sincerely hope that the incompetence you and yours have endured is dealt with in a just fashion -- but mostly that it gets dealt with.

Also, the hospital system just publicly announced yesterday that they were hacked to the tune of 1.4 million patients' info getting carted off between March and April this year. That single hack, I believe, was more than all the number of patients affected by all of the hacks combined from 2017.
Oh, and this is the second time they've admitted to being hacked this year (16000 patients in the first hack, all in the Madison area). Both were from targeted email phishing campaigns.
There is another hospital system in the area, but they no longer take Blue Cross/Shield.

Yep, and sadly, this is basically standard practice in American healthcare. Any time you have a major health issue the first thing the insurance company does is a blanket denial of coverage for thinly veiled BS reasons just to see if they can get away with it.

My Pathfinder group uses Google Hangouts for between game discussions. Last week two of the players (brothers) kept changing the name of the Hangout. They weren't being offensive or rude to each other, just funny stuff. Eventually the GM was fed up and changed the name to "The next person to change the name of this Hangout loses 3 levels". Since then I have been sorely tempted to change the name to "Worth It!". So far I have managed not to do it. After all, I just reached 5th level and don't want to go back to 2nd.
Yeah I would be down 3 levels...

Also I have messed up knees, so I don't walk very fast. And right now I'm dealing with a pulled muscle in my lower back which makes me even slower.
You could lay down and we could just roll you.
Only donw side is gravel and small debris.
