Hey, NH.
** spoiler omitted **
LOL. I've created a massive spoiler-fest on FaWtL! Who'd've thunk?
@Aranna -- thanks; I appreciate that. What's funny is that my "best-behaved" group is my kids' game. I think kids are just far more willing to accept, "These are the rules because xxx" than adults are. (I am very proud that I have never used, "Because I said so", either in parenting or in GM'ing. If I don't have a reason for a rule, then why am I enforcing it?)
@John -- Oh, the bodies aren't a big issue; we've always house-ruled that a single Medium creature is difficult terrain (rather silly that by the official rules they're not, in my opinion), and the rules are rather clear that you can't run over difficult terrain. That was just the latest example in a long litany of, "I want to run in combat" situations where the ONE adult at the kids' game is always trying to push boundaries, so he wants to run around the entire battlefield, moving 40-50 squares, just to set up a flank. His Acrobatics is so high that he can just pretty much walk there and ignore the AoO's, but the player likes the idea of sprinting (I suspect he's a closet Flash fan), so it's always, "OK, I want to run in this big circle, weaving through these 4-5 enemies, and winding up in this square to provide a flank for the ninja."
So running has been a long-standing pet peeve of mine, and in Saturday's game a different player came up with all the same arguments again. "I can 5' step around the body and then run" (no). "I can just jump over the bodies" (no). "I can weave around through the bodies" (no).
Just as people complain on the boards when they see the same arguments played out over and over and over again, as a GM you sometimes get tired of having the same arguments multiple times at the same table, only to have them pop up again at a different table.
Amusingly enough, nobody's ever complained about prone bodies being difficult terrain -- hadn't known they weren't 'til Rysky posted...

But really, it sounds less like entitlement, to me, and more like a clash between player expectations and desires with the GM's preferences.
I've been on both sides of the fence on this - "Things I don't like in games I run." v. "Things that don'g feel good for the character concept I really want to play, but the GM doesn't want."
I don't think anyone's actually wrong on this, but it's a hard thing on both 'counts - either way, someone is going to be less satisfied with their play experiences.
The biggest example I can think of with this is my Kingmaker character. He was an overly-optimized 3.5 character; when we learned that Pathfinder existed (with the discovery of Kingmaker), we thought it'd be fine - and so I played an uber crafter-mage for the first game we ever Pathfinder'd, Kingmaker.
I didn't even ask for this; it was, "Hey, I know you've wanted to play that one thing you've fiddled with, and you'd never ask to, but this is supposed to be balanced for those kinds of things, so, did you want to...?" kind of a thing. Of course, we had no way of knowing that Kingmaker was especially vulnerable to crafter mages, much less super-optimized ones...
For the sake of the game and the sake of the GM's sanity, I've stopped playing that character - probably my favorite character I've ever created, and I was forced to stop playing him by level six because the GM was not going to be able to run the AP.
I'll be honest: it's emotionally crushing. I'm not going to be able to "redeem" that character for another game. Sure, I could just copy the mechanics, or whatever, but that character is gone - done, finished, forever relegated to, "Not being played by me." no matter how much I love it or want to do so. The other option, of course, is, "All the hard work you put into this character is that it gets to stop working like you think it works or want it to work, and instead works in an entirely different way altogether." or, in other words, "Here's a completely different character who happens to share a name and visual appearance with your old one that you wanted to play; hope you enjoy." And that's... really hard to swallow.
And, perversely, as adults, we don't play for quite the reasons that kids do. Kids play because it's awesome and fun. While adults do, we also play in order to have fun and relax and shed the stress that we've built up in between not-playing... which can feel like a hard, harsh thing to deny for (apparently) arbitrary reasons.
But... GMs are players, too. And they absolutely have the same difficulties as other players when dealing with things in between play sessions, and even more stress because, you know, GMing. That, plus trying to keep things balanced by your own understandings of the rules, and similar frustrations. As a player, you've got to understand and acknowledge the fact that the GM is under a lot more pressure than you - well, you don't have to, but, you know, you should 'cause that's a nice thing to do and a way to be a nice person.
That's why, crappy as it feels, I left my King character behind for a new one. And, you know, I've enjoyed my new character - a lot, even! - so it's fun. I'm sorry I won't ever get to play my character the way I envisioned and wanted. That's too bad. But a fun game is a fun game, regardless of that. It's a hard thing to get over, but if you can and can find something fun anyway, that's the better decision - as a player, it's important for everyone to help where you can.
Anyway, relax! Enjoy anyway!
For me, at least, "I, as a GM, simply can't do that." has been sufficient reason for things for my players. I can't guess that it will be for yours, but maybe!

Since RWBY is being discussed here currently, I'm posting this. Enjoy.

Centuries AMV (posted a few days ago by... I think it was Aranna but I am not really sure) might have played a significant role with me starting watching RWBY.
Yes, it was Aranna who posted the link, but my independent "poking about Youtube" has uncovered much more. By the way, what did you think of the designs I posted?

Look good, though I would have to check SciFi20 rules to say much more beyond that. I get they are strongly inspired by Traveller construction rules?

D20 Traveller, yes. SciFi20 is basically T20 stripped of Traveller-specific material.
In my opinion, there's little more intimidating than watching soldiers go through an area, each wearing 500 kilos of armor. :)

Ah, at Global Megacorp it's the little things that kill you.
NobodysHome's Manager: We need final PM sign-off on all the lessons!
PM: These screenshots are all wrong! Fix them all!
NobodysHome painstakingly spends 45 minutes re-creating the demo in the most up-to-date environment available...
...only to find that the PM is wrong, and just wasted 45 minutes of his life...
Ah, well, at least I'm getting paid for such nonsense...

Hey TL,
I don't really rely on spoilers except to condense information, so that those who aren't interested don't have to wade through my posts to get to something more interesting. Such as my anime list, and the designs I posted last night.
I was just using it in the same manner as it was originally use by NH, and because he'd done so - so as not to drag FaWtL into fussiness land, and/or permit those who didn't care for the conversation to ignore it.
That, and I tend to WoT anyway, so Spoiler tags are a way to let people ignore those more easily...

I really do love honesty in all things.
They were talking to a California weather scientist about whether the most recent rains have helped with the drought.
"Yep. We can pretty much conclusively state that the drought is over. All our reservoirs are full, and we're having to open up the dams to let excess water out."
"WHAT?!?!?!?! You can't possibly SAY that!?!?!? What about next year?!?!"
"You know, if you cry 'wolf' every single year forever, people stop listening to you. It's much better to be honest about the situation. This year, it's already safe to say we're not having a drought year. So why not say it? Give people some good news for once. Does this mean the drought is over forever? No. But we shouldn't go warning people about droughts where there aren't any. They'll get jaded."
THANK YOU, Mr. Weather Scientist!

Have you ever been to Fussiness Land? OMG! We have the worst rides! And our concessions are totally stupid! Not like at Billy's house, who's lame! By the way!
Honestly, I tried ONE of Fussiness Land's rides, and the operator was so concerned about the safety harnesses, helmets, and goggles, and allergen-free fluffy padding that we never actually moved...

See, this guy gets it! He sounds like he's already here! Probably at the gift shop, which barely has WiFi!

Danger Bear is the fluffy padding.
Danger Bear scorns the helmet
Danger Bear has frayed the safety harness
Danger Bear ate the goggles.
Danger Bear is not This Tall but still intends to take the ride... TO GLORY!

I've decided my nose should be called Congestator, and is at the very least a Great Old One.
Or possibly a sentient ooze that is also a f&&+ing a*@~%&*.
Or more specifically, what is contained inside my nose, as my nose is quite solid. I mean as solid as a nose typically is, I don't have some sort of weird Hulk nose (please don't hit me in the nose, that would upset the whole face=moneymaker paradigm I have going on)

QCGW-WWWW-WWW4-D7KD
It's a battle replay code. If you want to know why exactly the battle tree drives me insane, just watch this video and you will understand what true pain is.
And if you ever want to imagine a tabletop gaming experience with Trinam, just imagine these same 10-20% odds of bad things happening over and over again. (Seriously, I could go down the list of how things went horrendously wrong and just how probability screwed I got there, but. That's a long story.)
