Blergh. Still dealing with becoming a night owl again. First time in 20 years I have to work late instead of early.
Ah well, fnck it, I'm happier. I am even getting some PbP time in.
Hope you are all warm and dry where you are at. Today was first snow (!) of the season here. I'm glad I have four cords if wood ready to go!
*blink*

I went back to bed and dreamed about mining colony where they were mining large raw diamonds and we were investigating accident/possible murder. We managed to confirm that there are matching genetic samples when I was woken up by a call from dentist office that the dentist got sick so they have to move my appointment to next Wednesday.

Yeah I spent Halloween road-tripping an hour to the nearest bike shop to get my flats fixed. I wish this was candy overload instead of inexplicable dizzy spell. This is mostly sick day due to preventative maintenance so it doesn't get worse. That and the whole inability to walk in a straight line upon reaching school this morning. I was all set to teach today before my sense of equilibrium gave a resounding NOPE to that.

I'm sorry scint. How is your ride doing?

Car's fine. Bike has not been ridden since I got the flat in August. Finally managed to get to the shop, and found a big ol' thorn in the front tire as well. All that's wrong with it is that I can't change a bike tire. Good news is they're replacing them with better tires that the thorns we get in this part of the state won't puncture as easily.

I want to go to Ireland! And Germany! (I am German-Irish, after all.)
Alas, the list of places I want to go is a long one.

I would love to visit Europe. I just need to be able to afford to do so by ship.
Although I don't mind flying, I've always thought that would be awesome. The real issue is time. It takes a week or so to cross the Atlantic by sea, and a week back. If you want to spend enough time there to make it worth while, you need to have about a month free.
John hates flying, so I had to book the Italy trip on the largest jumbo jets possible with no layovers.

*cue jokes about having to sleep in a container*
You laugh but I might actually look into that if/when the time comes. I wouldn't mind a ship journey, really. I just hate flying.

Two hours flight twice. Not pleasant but not really-really bad - but I don't know if I could handle it long enough to get to your side. Well, I could probably, but under the condition there would be much more space for legs than it was in the cheap lines I flew. Any longer than four hours and I would really need to get up and walk around...

Alton and I like to ride around in our private jets just visiting random places we've never been. Alton does it to steal their handed-down family recipes. I do it to spray chemtrails of pheromones that induce people to love my shows & movies over superior ones for no explicable reason.
I knew it.
