BTW: I have no idea what bagno means in Italian, but in Polish it means swamp. Pronounced with hard g.
It means "bathroom". (Pronounced BAHN-yo)

Sounds great, I could get lost in Rome for 9 days myself what with all the history, beauty, food. My great-grandmother emigrated from Florence to the U.S. so that holds a special place in my heart as well.

Desecrate is an area spell so it might be better to put it in aura stat block line instead/in addition to spell-like abilities - assuming that your intent is to have its effect emanate from the pale kaida?

Writing first person is hard.
Panic is already starting to set in....
Halloween was really freaking cold. We managed to salvage the night even though the kidlet decided to abandon trick or treating early because he was shivering so much. He still got a decent amount of candy because the bad weather kept a lot of trick or treaters at home, but then we took him to the store and bought him a bag of Halloween candy to fill it up the rest of the way. His praetorian guard costume turned out really well and for the brief time we were out he got lots of compliments on it. So that made him happy too.
Things I have learned today:

I found writing in first person to be easier than writing in third person. I don't need to wonder what level of knowledge, description of details, etc., should the narrator provide because with first person the narrator is by definition subjective and unreliable. Having my own First Person Smartass all the time is helpful too.

I don't like first person solely because I love having multiple perspective characters, and I'm never sure how to clearly differentiate the switch without taking a reader out of the story. If I could fix that, first person all the way.

Love the trope. I'm sure I will appreciate first person more as I get used to it, but it's very hard to switch when you usually write third person.

Right now, my hair is the longest it's been since around 2005. Thinking of shaving my head again to cut down on maintenance. On the other hand, I look like a weirdo when I have no hair, and I have my suspicions that when it grows back, there will be significantly more gray in it. Decisions...

I'd argue for Sweden, but in January... Either you'd freeze useful bodyparts off, or it'd be rain and wind the whole time, and I'm not talking a nice summer breeze, I'm talking North Sea winter storms that'll go right through you.

I have my cats. They're finally, after being here about five hours, getting less skittish around me and being willing to be petted and not running to hide all the time. One is currently nosing around atop my desk. It's only a matter of time before she tries sleeping on the laptop keyboard.
Mind you, be careful or it'll turn into biker-thug territory, and that's just all kinds of bother.
