Buns with opiates appeared in my city today morning. A few people went to a doctor with strange symptoms only to discover they eaten snacks containing drugs. Name of the bakery chain where that happened weren't revealed.

We can practice!

Mi chiamo Celestial Healer. Come ti chiami? Dov'è il bagno?

Io sono Drago.

BTW: I have no idea what bagno means in Italian, but in Polish it means swamp. Pronounced with hard g.

It means "bathroom". (Pronounced BAHN-yo)

And if you are giving your name as Drago, you say "Mi chiamo Drago" (I call myself Drago). See? You are learning Italian already!

That's a good way to make sure your customers keep coming back for more.

Rome, Florence, and Venice.

Sounds great, I could get lost in Rome for 9 days myself what with all the history, beauty, food. My great-grandmother emigrated from Florence to the U.S. so that holds a special place in my heart as well.

Promotional spot of Poland. Might require waiting out some other ad. One of the scenes is dragon cave under Wawel castle in my city.

Happy Halloween!

I hope to be back soon. With everything going on, I was happy just to get a post up today.

Your monster is pale too, Taig? :D

Desecrate is an area spell so it might be better to put it in aura stat block line instead/in addition to spell-like abilities - assuming that your intent is to have its effect emanate from the pale kaida?

Herman Melville would be proud.

Things I have learned today:
My internal editor is bossy and annoying and hard to ignore.
I am too good at procrastinating.
Writing first person is hard.

Panic is already starting to set in....

Halloween was really freaking cold. We managed to salvage the night even though the kidlet decided to abandon trick or treating early because he was shivering so much. He still got a decent amount of candy because the bad weather kept a lot of trick or treaters at home, but then we took him to the store and bought him a bag of Halloween candy to fill it up the rest of the way. His praetorian guard costume turned out really well and for the brief time we were out he got lots of compliments on it. So that made him happy too.

I found writing in first person to be easier than writing in third person. I don't need to wonder what level of knowledge, description of details, etc., should the narrator provide because with first person the narrator is by definition subjective and unreliable. Having my own First Person Smartass all the time is helpful too.

I don't like first person solely because I love having multiple perspective characters, and I'm never sure how to clearly differentiate the switch without taking a reader out of the story. If I could fix that, first person all the way.

Love the trope. I'm sure I will appreciate first person more as I get used to it, but it's very hard to switch when you usually write third person.

Right now, my hair is the longest it's been since around 2005. Thinking of shaving my head again to cut down on maintenance. On the other hand, I look like a weirdo when I have no hair, and I have my suspicions that when it grows back, there will be significantly more gray in it. Decisions...

Grow a Storm mohawk.

There's nothing wrong with gray. Also it is better being weirdo with hair than weirdo without hair.

EDIT: I deny knowing the later firsthand!

Spoiler:
I never had no hair.

Shoulder length and full beard for viking manliness. (Carving symbols into your teeth is optional.)

Mind you, be careful or it'll turn into biker-thug territory, and that's just all kinds of bother.

I'd argue for Sweden, but in January... Either you'd freeze useful bodyparts off, or it'd be rain and wind the whole time, and I'm not talking a nice summer breeze, I'm talking North Sea winter storms that'll go right through you.

I have my cats. They're finally, after being here about five hours, getting less skittish around me and being willing to be petted and not running to hide all the time. One is currently nosing around atop my desk. It's only a matter of time before she tries sleeping on the laptop keyboard.

You will go to the Dagobah system. There you will learn from Yoda, the Techno Viking who instructed me.

I'm just waiting for the day you've got one on your lap during KM for the purposes of evil laughter while petting a villainous cat sidekick...and it just reaches over to kick your dice and changes your crit to a fumble.

Mrrrgh! Working nights can make it really hard to sleep normal hours sometimes.

I went and saw "Birdman" tonight. Great movie if you like black comedies and a soundtrack full of drums.

Alas, I'm neither viking, nor black, nor particularly manly...

So, you're apotheosizing into Max Headroom?

Finishing my character for tomorrow session: technocracy on Mars! I should also make myself some sort of meal, go to bed earlier and get up earlier... Yeah, right...
