that sucks Shiny,

but not everyone is mature at 25. thing is, I could have been case 2 at that age, I was a whiny, insecure, immature boy at that age, I guess I have become a confident, happy and reasonable man at the end of my tweenties.
strange thing: most of my best and closest friendships where formed at that insecure time

and nakedness may not have helped

In other news, going shopping for steak in a couple of hours for Mother's Day dinner. Gonna grill at home rather than fight the crowds.

I have a great love for short stories, and anthologies in particular. I LOVE Thieves World, Sword and Sorceress, Dragonlance and even the occasional Forgotten Realms(!!!!) anthology. I just love short stories that much.

Oh I don't mind reading them. (Though I still prefer novels and longer series for reading also... hence my love for Dresden Files, Dhampir, Dark Tower, Vorkosigan, October Daye, Discworld, almost anything by Brandon Sanderson, etc. etc. etc...) But I know I could never write one without it growing much, much larger than that.

Taking the advantage of library internet again... That tablet idea was quite neat in fact.

Regretfully Switcher and Heroes of might and magic are tad too big to downloading here. Well, they will probably need to wait until I am back in Poland.

Yesterday was a pretty decent day. Nice weather. Went with my brother, nephew, niece and some of the nephew's friends to see the newish Captain America movie. It was pretty awesome.

Afterwards we did a crawfish boil over at my brother's house. 97 lbs of boiled goodness! Mmmmmm....

Last night, after the kids were in bed, I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Aeglos, you've had an affect on my mothers day.

Last year my mom wanted to go to a biergarten to try an old beer she couldnt find anywhere called dinkelacker. She wore her blue little old lady dress to the place we went to in hipster hell, where we got a nice discount because everyone thought the old lady celebrating mothers day by going out to a bar with her son and drinking and eating sausage was so cool it was awesome. Unfortunately this place we went to did not have dinkelacker, and she was mildly disappointed.

Fast forward to one year later, where I am not able to get a reservation at the restaurant I wanted to take my mom to so I was forced to go with my second choice. We get out of the train station at a particular exit and lo and behold we are at another biergarten! I jokingly suggest we see if they have her beer and as we are quite early for the other place, which doesn't open for another half hour, we decide we have nothing to lose.

We discover they have dinkelacker.

The reservations for the other place are immediately scrapped, and we celebrate mother's day in a new hipstery joint where my mom is now on her third beer and I am enjoying my second bratwurst with spicy mustard.

It may be the alcohol talking but LONG LIVE MOTHER'S DAY! !!!!!!

Just received a spam e-mail advertising "sexy car insurance." I think they're getting desperate. More on this at 10.
