Found an awesome saying by Bill Cosby:

"Women don't want to hear what men think. Women want to hear what they think in a deeper voice."

One of the good quotes from him. Very true, I've found.

Another good one:

"I guess the real reason my wife and I had children is the same reason that Napoleon had for invading Russia: it seemed like a good idea at the time."

Yeah, sorry. It's already stopped. And we're getting up into the 40s today. Texas "winter" is nice and mild.

You distracted me with thoughts of Cosby! I'm going to start thinking about baseball next time!

He is a wise man. And damn funny. I count his Bill Cosby: Himself routine to be one of the top five stand up comedy routines of all time.

I have issues with him getting preachy in his old age. There were times where I was wondering if he heard his own stand-up.

Did I mention we had a great night last night? The baby went to sleep around 10:30 pm and hadn't woken up by the time I left the house at quarter to 6 this morning.

Huzzah for sleep!!!

Scarab Sages

All right, folks. Time to get some things done. Have a good one!

With the advent of DVD's it's made stand-ups very popular.
Bill Bailey, Tim Vine, Eddie Izzard, Peter Key, Michael McIntyre, Stewart Lee, Jimmy Carr. There are alot of great stand-up's out there at the moment.

Rock on! :D btw, are you a tea drinker? Any hot drink might do. Nothing quite like having a Lindor ball in your mouth, then taking a big gulp of a delicious, hot drink to help it melt. Mmmmmmm ^_^

I do, but whether I like it hot or cold depends on my mood and the weather, really. This time of year I'm all for hot tea, but come summer I'll want it cold (and insanely sweet).

Bill Bailey and Eddie Izzard are my particular favourites here. Also a Dylan Moran fan. :) I didn't know EI did an AMA on Reddit until google searching him again just there. Darn it. :/

Makes sense. I drink hot tea all year, but that's mainly 'cause I'd have to hand in me Irish card if I didn't. :P Definitely in for the insanely sweet though. :3

Heh, I wish. I meant more that it figures the job I look forward to, i.e., subbing, is the one to get cancelled due to weather whereas the world of retail is eternal.

I had little round snow pellets on my patio furniture this morning. :)

Grats on freeing it!

hi everyone

It's up to -6 today. It's funny: one rarely sees folks in Denver in full winter gear during the day. Even in the below-zeros, we're in jackets and gloves, not parkas. But once the sun goes down, the pain starts. Holy crap, it's cold!

I'm used to the sun being this pale powerless thing in the winter, but at high altitudes, it's the difference between being comfortable and losing digits.

Grand Lodge

Man, it's like 50 out there and overcast. I thought I might need a jacket.

One of my friends is in the middle of this mess. It's 18 outside and they have no heat. Their wood stove is even electric. They have pets in the house and nowhere to go. They've been told if they don't have power by end of day Friday, it won't be restored until mid-week next week. D:

I wonder when the ones we ordered here in the office will get in.

Ours were delivered to our door by a little girl out in the freezing cold.

Yet a package entrusted to the USPS on January 27 has not yet arrived.

Little girls>>postal carriers.

Coworker says ours are supposed to be in in March.

Today was quite uncreative day for me. Probably because I went for a nap and soon I will head to bead for night...

Yep we even had 'snow' here in south Lousy-Anna.

(If by 'snow' you mean leetle, teeny weeny frozen raindrops that floated down and melted before they actually get within 1 foot of the ground. Then yes, we had snow!)

Hey, the kids from here get positively excited over this stuff. Considering how often they DON'T see it at all. ;P

The weather here has been a silly roller coaster ride, 75 one day, 32 the next, back up to 65,... it's a wonder we aren't all sick as dogs. :(

I can deal with cold, I can deal with heat, but MAKE UP YOUR FRIGGIN' MIND!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, they are Appreciated.
Now I have to get busy on Valentine's Day or I'll be sleeping in the doghouse. In the snow, possibly. :/

Yeah we're having that problem here too. 40-50s days... teens-20s nights.

Does kai-tang post have a terribly messed up formatting? I see it as having a very large spaces between lines, much greater than it should...

Oh nice, the matrix class. I liked that one.

I strongly consider looking for a laptop tomorrow.
