Wrath of heavens does not reach that far North. Everyone knows that Swedes are in league with Saami and Fins and those two are godless witches and warlocks all with each one having a dozen or so of devils in his or her service. Kaje and Sweden has little to fear from single celestial being.

Naked devil consorting?

Will it result in half-fiend dragon or half-dragon fiend?

I am going for a walk to think about that.

I better take advantage of nice weather.

I saw that lynora liked it. Like she mentioned, I will be cutting the recipe in half. I also plan on using unsalted cashews instead of peanuts, just because that is what is in my cupboard. The consistency and flavor profile are similar.

Good luck with it. :)

And I think the cashews actually might go better than the peanuts.

I think I am finally recovered from chaperoning kidlet's class camping trip. I was only there during the days cause we didn't think it was going to work well for kidlet to stay overnight with the others, but seeing as I'm allergic to outside days were bad enough.

So apologies if I missed anything important. All the congestion was keeping me from thinking clearly. :)

I think I will be trying the Flying Jacob tonight.

I will hold you and your country responsible if this bizarre combination of ingredients does not come together into something delicious.

Woo! And I'm not worried.

It shouldn't make it worse, at least.

Language grumbling:
English need a better word for the opposite of improvement to use in these cases. "Debasement" is too dramatic, "deterioration" doesn't sound right, "impairment," "derogation," and "failure" are all wrong.

I am so glad this weekend is over. I'm hitting the point of dreading going to the retail job earlier this year than usual. Too many changes in management.

There are no monasteries left to plunder as far as I can tell...

The Flying Jacob was a success. It is an interesting flavor. I think the sweet and spicy balanced each other out.

I shall spare Sweden for now.

So the Scandinavia will be saved from Wrath Of The Righteous.

G+* D!#n F&@%ing plumbing - I hate it! A whole weekend spent replacing a dishwasher, disposal and shower control. Plus I put about 50 miles on my car for multiple trips to home depot.

And I'm still not quite done. >-$

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt..It does suck the first time but the sense of accomplishment is awesome and the next time is sooo much easier

yeah right. I've done this before. What sucks is dealing with half-assed jobs done by previous house owners. It can turn an easy job into a nightmare. Today's lesson learned - older houses used fine threaded compression fittings. The world has moved forward to coarse thread fittings universally. Home Depot no longer carries these types of fittings. Thankfully, the person at Home Depot was nice enough to tell me that Lowes still does (for now). Some day I'll have to replace that shutoff valve. But not today...

FINALLY moving on to Kingmaker Chapter Three this week, after being on Chapter Two and a mid-chapter interlude for a year.

Thankfully Chapter Three is pretty short.

Very nice.

I go through the same stages on every household project:

Step 1: Oh yeah, I can do this.
Step 2: Purchase materials, supplies, tools.
Step 3: Start demolition
Step 4: Oh my god, what I have got myself into
Step 5: Frantic searching on the internet, many, many trips to the hardware store
Step 6: Utter despair
Step 7: Well there's no going back, I must find a way
Step 8: Put everything back together
Step 9: turn on the switch, valve, etc. - it works
Step 10: Well that wasn't so bad

Repeat Step 1

Finally got to watch Thor: Dark World this evening.

What can I say, Dark Elves in Starfighters are bad @$$ed.

Saw it Friday night. Awesomeness.

My dad's leaving for Israel today, and I might get a Kingmaker session arranged this weekend!

Writing down notes while at work once more. I'm trying to think of what animals could be used as mounts, and I don't want to use a horse. Wolves are cool but I don't wanna use those either, and I wouldn't know what kind of mythical creatures (aside from possibly a griffin) would be widespread enough to be in regular use in a fantasy world. Perhaps I'll have to come up with a creature of my own design, though I usually don't trust myself enough with such things. XD

Agreed. I have to admit, the Montserrat Caballé clip is stunning.

Talking about range I believe Diamanda Galas has an amazing vocal range. Of course, her music is more towards the metal side than classical.

Anyway, good monday morning to all. Hopefully a quiet week would be good.

I think I want to create some kind of creature similar to a horse, but I don't know how it should differ from one...

Well, if you want to stick within the realms of fairly-realistic, there's other cattle animals - bulls, bison, giant sheep, goats, or rams, etc. Getting a bit more exotic of course gets you things like hippos, elephants, etc., maybe scaling up into megafauna. But it depends what the wildlife in your setting offers.

More fantastical, you have giant creatures impossible in real life (spider-riders! or giant any other vermin - dragonflies for aerial, centipedes for transporting entire troop units, giant beetles for living siege engines, etc.), as well as mythical creatures from the get-go such as hippogriffs, gryphons, wyverns, and so forth.

I figured these things live in the equivalent of Finland (or Russia) that had been momentarily dipped into the Far Realm, which in turn has changed the fauna to some degree. From what I've read, the modern day horse evolved from some smaller omnivorous species, and I figured this creature has been tamed to serve as a mount but functions in combat better than a horse because it is somewhat easier to train for attacking a target with either teeth or perhaps even claws. I just wonder if it should have hooved feet or not, since those seem to attribute to a horse's speed.

Flying mounts would be rare, especially since Turma hangs around in said area and considers the skies his own.

in Freehold! The Saga of Wune, halflings created dire animals through clerical magic to ride and pull their tinker/gypsy-like pseudo magical/scientifically advanced caravans around when their civilization- the first true civilization according to them (elves are savages and do not count)- was beset upon by jealous goblinkin and other unmentionables.

Also, got werewolf 20th anniversary edition pdf from a friend this weekend who is awaiting the arrival of his physical copy. Since my wife wasnt able to get the physical copy for me, this was a welcome gift.

Not all great vocalists are in opera. Freddie Mercury's range was mythic!

Also, got not one but two fountain/calligraphy pens working! I was always enamored of then but couldn't get them to work right. They seem to be better now, or maybe I'm just older and my perspective is different. Using brown ink to give my notes that sepia quality.
